To keep things playful in my music workflow, I let random tempos guide the process. When it came time to create merch, I wanted to capture that same spirit… not just slap a name on a shirt. The goal was to design something that felt like an artifact of the project’s soul; cosmic, silly, and full of spontaneous energy.
I created a one-colour vector print using ‪@RetroSupply‬ hand-made brushes and textures to mimic vintage screen-printing techniques, with gradients formed through layered distressing. Every line, curve, and crack is intentional - designed to bring human warmth to a digital format. The result is a piece of merch that feels more like a visual relic from the Stereo Reverie universe than traditional band gear.
It all starts with a spin. A random key chosen by chance to let the universe guide the jam. It’s a process rooted in unpredictability and mystery… like a game of cosmic roulette.
More than just a name on a tee, this merch design was a chance to create an artifact that carries the essence of improvised music; soulful, raw, human. It was designed within the limitations of old-school screen printing - one colour, all vector. The depth and character was achieved with careful distressing and hand-drawn imperfection using ‪@RetroSupply‬ brushes and textures. Every detail was crafted with intention to carry the spirit of Stereo Reverie further into the physical world.
