Hey guys!
Can you believe it's time to start planning the 2026 Inherited Manor Challenge? Every February we build the year's version of our room-by-room "fix up this mansion you mysteriously inherited" challenge. I want to build a castle, and I need you to help me pick a style direction. Please note we may not build these castles specifically, but will draw the inspiration for the build from that region or general architecture style. Your choice will also impact the story somewhat (I have ideas below), but the rules will always be the same: one room at a time.
MOROCCO - Until today I didn't know Morocco had castles, but now I am smitten. This one is called Kasbah Amridil. The warm gold of the rammed earth construction, prominent towers, simple core shapes with beautiful carved details... I love it. We also have lots of opportunities for walkways along the flat roofs of the walls and rooms. While not technically the same continent, I could see adding Jungle Adventure to the gameplay elements. We'll surely dig up something interesting.
GERMANY - For German inspiration I grabbed Neuschwanstein Castle. It looks like it came straight out of a storybook, and I would definitely lean into that if we built something like this. We would probably bring in Tudor influences as well as I think those styles would blend nicely. Gnomes would be involved.
FRANCE - France means Fancy. We would kit this place out with all the gold, fantastic gardens, swanky courtyards, extra entertaining space, just all the luxury we could possibly jam in. Chateau de Pierrefonds, pictured here and built in the 14th century, was Camelot in the BBC show "Merlin". Is that a sign to bring in a little magic?
FANTASY - Maybe we don't need any real world references. Maybe the only tool we need is our imagination. If we go Fantasy expect quite a few build tricks to create floating towers, waterfalls, ornate roofs, and maybe a pinch of fairy dust.
No matter which one you pick, we will burn it down, so if you have a history of house fires you will want to sit this one out and just join us for our mansion builds coming up in the Save File Like a Nerd series. For the rest of you, see you in February!

Hey guys!
Thank you again for 25,000 subscribers!! I can't believe it was less than three and a half years ago that I started making all those roofing videos, and now look at us.
To celebrate I am doing a horrible, terrible challenge, which I have posted about before. I also had to reschedule the stream a couple of times due to scheduling conflicts and illness. However, we are finally here! Three hours until I take 25 of the rooms you have made and turn them into a Frankenstein house (yes, I will landscape and roof). If you haven't uploaded your room yet, just make sure it is up before the stream starts for a chance to be in the build! 12x12 tiles is the size limit and you have to use #sahm25k so I can find it.
This is going to be so fun!

Hey guys!
Bad news! It still hurts to breathe (yes, I have called my doctor). I don't think a three hour stream when I can barely handle a three minute conversation is the wisest idea so I am pushing tonight's episode of Sahm Hustles Newcrest, our Rags to Riches series, into December. The new date should be reflected in the event.
Also I think it's so funny I fully intended this to primarily feature For Rent but then we got Businesses & Hobbies and yeah, the whole series has just taken a lot of unexpected turns. Oh well. I'm still having fun XD

Hey guys!
We hit 25k subscribers!!! As promised, we will be doing a Gallery Room Puzzle Build Challenge! If you want to participate, here's how:
1) Create a fully furnished and decorated room! You can use any packs you want, but please make sure it fits within 12x12 tiles and is a functional room. No CC!
2) Upload your room to the gallery! Select your room, then use the menu in the top middle of your screen to upload it to the gallery. Use #sahm25k in your room description so I can find it easily.
3) Wait for the stream! Make sure you click "notify me" below to get the notification.
