This morning, the fire alarms at my school went off in a strange way: a power outage.
While I was reading a book in English class, the lights in the hallway suddenly went out. About 5 to 7 seconds later, the fire alarms started blaring.
When we followed the typical fire drill procedure, we actually stayed outside for longer than usual, making us think it could’ve been an actual fire.
It wasn’t. When the power went out, some alarm went off in the boiler room, which triggered all fire alarms to go off. Our fire department eventually reset the alarms.
