AC75 TESTING RESUMES WITH NEW UPGRADES FOR TAIHORO
The pursuit of the America’s Cup is relentless and there is no time for jet lag or rest for the team fresh off the plane from the Preliminary Regatta in Naples at the end of September.

Emirates Team New Zealand got straight back to work on home waters in Auckland rolling out their AC75, Taihoro, marking the start of an extensive speed and performance development block on the Waitematā Harbour that will run until the Christmas break.

The Preliminary Regattas were the first chapter of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup: two events that put the AC40 crews to the test and gave the teams their first taste of racing in Naples.

From Cagliari to Naples, Emirates Team New Zealand’s senior and Women & Youth crews faced a competitive fleet, built race experience and gathered valuable insight ahead of the main event.

Now, the focus shifts to the AC75 and the work behind the scenes as the team continues its preparation for 2027.

The dates for the next Youth America's Cup have been announced: From 2–6 June 2027, the next generation of sailing talent will race on the AC40s in Naples.

In-between the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series, the Youth teams will once again proof their spot in the sailing spotlight.
