Welcome to the acapella series where I sing songs from artists who have inspired the world I have created on the upcoming ‘Light Entertainment’ album
#3 Cat Power. The first time I heard Cat Power was via the Moon Pix album, specifically Metal Heart. I was hypnotised by the vocal & fragility of the lyrics. By the time she released The Greatest I had already devoured her version of Sea Of Love so regularly that I had almost sickened myself of it. I have always admired the songs, the arrangements & the career choices of someone who seems, from the outside looking in, as one of the most rigidly individual and fearless of songwriters.
I hope you enjoy this version of Where Is My Love 🖤
I am delighted to present the new and improved ciaranlaverymusic.com for all of your distractionary needs. Take a spin of the roulette of regret while you’re stopping by :) there are prizes to be won 🏆
Killer, solo acoustic (under a bridge in Aghagallon). Can’t wait to see you tomorrow night at Belfast's Black Box for The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival 🖤💀
I am delighted that this recording, conspired & recorded in bedrooms across Brighton, is now seeing the light of day. I am eternally grateful to the wonderful Marcus Hamblett for his sterling additional work & mixing. I am eternally grateful to the Faction Music team for believing in this project enough to release it. I am eternally grateful to Kerstin Zemp for illustrating and animating the artwork. I am eternally grateful to you for listening/sharing/shouting about. I hope you love it.
The video for I Love The Inevitability Of Death is out now 🖤💀🖤💀
