Hi everyone!!! I hope you all are having a great day!!! After thinking it over I am thinking I am going to take a complete break from both my YouTube channels. There is some personal matters in my life going on that is severely affecting me and my ability to post videos. I have been trying to keep posting on my side channel through it all but I think I need to put this down for a bit and focus on myself. So for the month of February I will be not posting at all. I will return in March. I think I will make some smaller form nerdy videos. Along with rants and silly yaps. I have been trying hard to make content for here but due to everything it has been extremely hard. Then for my side channel I might be adding back Overwatch content to it. Not sure exactly how I will do that yet. However while on break I will be working on a mini rebranding. Excited about that. Some stuff might change. Might test some new things. Not really sure yet. However truly thank you all for the support. I will be back soon and things will be a bit different!!! See you all then
Sorry about progress being so slow for my new video here. I am testing a bunch of stuff out. So many test recording and so much trial and error. Just wanting to take my time and make something I am super proud of. Plus I am learning a lot and having a lot of fun with it. Finally got a setup that I am liking a lot. I rerecorded the parts I did before with a different setup. I still have a lot more to do but I am very very excited. I cannot wait to get this video out for you all
Hi! Hi! This year has been a wild one. Ups and downs! Left and rights! Good choices bad choices! However I am so happy with this year and to be here making videos for you all. Many times this year I thought about quitting and leaving this all behind. I got confused of what to do with my channel and what direction to take it. I made some good decisions and some bad ones but I finally feel at home with my channels. One of the biggest changes I made this year was making a new channel @SimonRetro_TV !!! Making that channel has been one of the best decisions I have made. I am not kidding it has been a huge change. Being able to make gaming content that is cute but chill but wholesome has been a lot of fun. Plus all that streaming I used to do has come in handy for that channel due to making long play content. It has been a blast over there and allows me to make more content that is a lot of fun but in a way I am comfortable with while not streaming. Unfortunately I also completely stopped streaming this year and moving forward I am officially retiring from streaming with only maybe the occasional stream every now and then. Due to some circumstances that happened and many many other reasons I had to stop streaming. Streaming is not for everyone and it certainly wasn't for me. I am shocked I was able to stream for 4 years before I had to stop. The longer I streamed the less and less I enjoyed it. Plus recording is so much more fun and makes me so much more comfortable. Another thing that has changed is this channel. I tried gaming again for part of the year here and well that didn't work and I didn't like it. I then moved back to nerdy content again and have been loving it. Having my second channel has helped this channel so much and allows me to show my creativity in different ways. I have only gotten one video out here since the change but it has been a blast. Finding projects or nerdy stuff to talk about is so much fun. Being able to work so hard on a project and for it to come out and be watched by you all is amazing. The modding a Chromebook video is the perfect example. I worked so hard to make something I am so proud of and the reception has been amazing so thank you. To make the videos it does take longer then before but that is because I don't feel rushed and I want to make something I am so proud of. I am so excited for this next year with the content that will be coming out. I already have in the works a Windows 10 retrospective video and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach Episode 2. 2025 marks 5 years of making content... that is crazy. 5 years of posting videos for you all. I cannot believe it has been that long. 2025 brought me back to why I love creating content. It brought me back to loving this again. I found my flow after so long and I am so happy I did. I cannot wait to be able to create more and show you all what I can create. Thank you all for an amazing 2025!!!
Sooooo I am going to pivot a bit. I am changing the video I am making for this channel. Instead of making an Ubuntu Mate video I am going to do a kinda retrospective and love note to Windows 10. Being that Windows 10 ended support in October I kinda been wanting to make a video about it and go back and explore it. This could also lead into a sequel talking about Linux and my experience of using it for the past 2 years. I did film a bit of the Ubuntu Mate video but the footage turned out kinda not great due to camera settings changing due to an update. Plus I have a new setup that I would really like to use for making videos. I am very excited to use the new setup and make the video look better but still janky looking hehe. Nevertheless though sorry for such a delay just really wanna make a good video I am very proud of for here.
Hi! Hi! I hope you all are doing great! Videos here take a while to make from getting ideas to filming to editing in a way I like. It is a very intense and long process. Right now I am working on a video and I messed up my settings on my camera unfortunately so I need to rerecord an entire section. However over on @SimonRetro_TV I post way more often... yep this is a shoutout for my side channel!! Over there I play some games from Minecraft to Night in the Woods. Some retro games as well! I chill out and just play whatever games I am currently interested in. I love gaming and love making these chill almost livestream aesthetic recorded videos that give me a lot of options and give a cozy cute vibe. With it being more chill I tend to tone down the editing and just let my ummms and weird speaking shine over there. They are some great videos to watch while doing something else but also a lot of fun to just sit and watch. I am so happy I get to have a place where I can be goofy and yap and have lots of fun making content. Right now I am posting about once a week. Hi! Hi! Update Time!!! Hehehe!!! Alrighty so I am excited to... finally... announce that I am working on a new video. It took forever to get an idea for many reasons but I very much was in a writers block with video creation. Hehe. However my next video will be about Ubuntu Mate!! Recently I got this fascination with the Mate desktop environment and it's history and where it came from and how similar the history is to Cinnamon. Both are very very fascinating and very cool. So in the video I will be installing Ubuntu Mate, talking a little bit about it's history, and then exploring the operating system. I have already filmed installing the operating system... with some hiccups but next I will be exploring it and maybe even playing some small games on it. Very exciting stuff.
Hi! Hi! After some thought and testing I will be wrapping up the test early that I was doing. Editing has been fun to do on a gaming video but the more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that I prefer how my channels have been. The episode that I did edit was a super good test but will not be released publicly. I will post it to my patreon and here on YouTube posts. I need some time before I do that though.
However some changes will be coming to my side channel. My videos are going to be way more chill. I am not going to force myself to constantly talk or constantly be high energy. I am high energy sometimes but most of the time I am a very chill and calm person irl and being so high energy and bouncing off the walls for so long is so draining for me. I wanna be more lofi and cozy vibes and not be YOOOOO WHAT IS UP!!!! I also will be playing on occasions "long plays." I saw some other channels doing this where basically it is a 1 to 3 hour video where it is very lightly edited. I really like the idea. I am thinking my Minecraft: Chill Edition is going to be a great series to test this on and would be a great fit. Maybe throw on some lofi chill music in the background and just play Minecraft. Even if I am silent for a half an hour that is ok. I am ok with that vibe. However one last change is I will not be having a post schedule over on that channel. I want that channel to be more chill and fun. I do not want to force myself to post constantly.
Then one little change here on my main channel. I will be trying my best to post once a week a short. I am going to make some smaller series on shorts but also do clips as well. That Lifeweaver one I am going to get back to soon. There is so much I want to do with that series and I am excited to make more of those ones
