Hello friends! It’s a story of how a simple machine, once tipped on its side, becomes a small sawmill — turning raw logs into beautiful boards. Along the way, I’ll share a few thoughts on finding and preparing your own one-of-a-kind woodworking timber. You’ve probably never seen such colors and grain patterns before. But that’s just the prelude — the real story lies ahead... https://youtu.be/KCxFOgU0UY4
Friends, in this new video https://youtu.be/OPMB1zJYfZI I’m going to share my adventure of building this sail catamaran right on the shores of Lake Ladoga, in true field conditions. Armed with basic tools, I found two fallen pine trunks and, over two summer vacations, first crafted a wooden canoe, and then, the following year, a sail catamaran...
Friends, over the past decade, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in milling logs into boards using a chainsaw, as well as designing and crafting homemade chainsaw guide bars for lumber milling. In this third and final video of the series, I’ll share some new log milling life hacks and revisit the tried-and-true techniques. Don’t miss it! Watch here: https://youtu.be/5UVb2iv_z74
Friends, Happy Holidays! I've just published a new video on a DIY miter saw system that is inexpensive to make, precise, and compact, as well as based on a novel approach to cutting miters. https://youtu.be/c1Jfx4ccFFA
Friends, thank your patients during these months I filled a lot of content at my log cabin camp which prevented me from producing new video. At the very end of this video, you can catch a glimpse at what is to come. Happy Holidays!!! https://youtu.be/5AkXJSxOTzI
Friends, thank you very much for your help with this video's title! I ended up using a couple of suggestions at once))) Here it is: https://youtu.be/9ItlOFLTUAs
I am at the end of a two-year making-filming project about cultivating honey bees in plastic bottles and kegs. It is a very important video for me as it might help to alleviate the global honey bee shortage... The video is about two weeks away from being fully edited and finished. One of the things I am struggling with right now is how to name it, so that the title is descriptive, fairly concise and catchy. Perhaps we could brainstorm together on it. ))) Thank you for your ideas!
Friends, this is a 53-minute documentary on my waterwheel construction, by far the longest on my channel. https://youtu.be/war9v2DxMs4 As for me, the video is overly detailed, I could show the wheel building process in 15 minutes. However, many subscribers asked me for longer videos with more details. I will leave the judgement of this experiment up to you. Now I am waiting for your feedback. Should this experiment continue? And if so, which of the projects breifly shown in the video should be edited first. https://youtu.be/war9v2DxMs4
I took a friend up on his offer to try out his new snowmobile, so we went to do a winter inspection of my log cabin camp in Karelia: https://youtu.be/3ntok3mpDe0
