Blue Blues (@BlueBrony) - Known for heartfelt songs like "Imperfection", "okay", and the OST from @mlp_MintyRoot's "Missing Out", but also for grooviest tunes like "Rush Hour Cadance" and "Ain't Playing Games". He's a master of composition and keyboards, and has a wide range of genres and talents.
Goony Blues (das me) - Known for songs like "Who Knows", "Chant Of Immortality", and "This Is What It's Like". In you're headphones you know him for his soaring vocals and heartbreaking lyrics, but on stage he's remembered for mediocre stage presence and epic guitar solos!
Bluena Jax (@lunajaxmusic) - The 'Murica Horse, and the newest member of the group, Known for deep emotional tunes like "Regret" and "Apple Bloom's Prayer", and more recently known for the new fan favorite, "M.A.R.E.". His voice and energy WILL win you over, and you have NO say in this matter. Quite the acoustic guitarist, as well.
And of course, the loudest and proudest of the bunch, Mongo Blues (of@TheWonderboltsBand) - He is your dad, and you are his kid. No questions asked. Known for his role in the Wonderbolts, and also as the father of all bronies. Also a fine bassist, and boasts a vocal tone you WISH you had.
Coming to HarmonyCon? Catch us opening on Friday night!!! ONE NIGHT ONLY!!! YOU WILL DANCE, YOU WILL JIVE, AND YOU WILL SING ALONG!!!
Also, for those unaware, we already have an album on streaming, so check it here!!!
Okay, this is the absolute last time I'm going to clarify, seeing as SO MANY PEOPLE are taking me out of context and misinterpreting what I'm trying to say.
Admittedly, there is one piece of context I forgot to mention in my other posts, and it does add a new level to the connotations.
So, before you comment, READ THE WHOLE THING.
There is a lot of context to take in here, so take your time, maybe read it twice or three times before you say anything.
Here we go. --------------------------------
Mare chant has existed since like 2021 or so (more or less, don't quote me).
People ignore it because it's not really an issue.
Mare chant gets more prominent after MF's debut in 2023.
4channers start getting creepy about using the word "mare", particularly with strangely sexual undertones.
This makes people start to be uneasy and feel gross about the word "mare" in this context.
Mare chant is now EVERYWHERE at EVERY PONY CONVENTION.
Due to said prominence and gross online context, mare chant now makes people uncomfortable, as it is more noticeable.
People start complaining about mare chant, nothing happens.
Our song, "M.A.R.E.", debuts in July 2025, though we knew next to nothing about what was going on with the word at the time.
People argue online (specifically 4chan) about both the mare chant and the contextually gross use of the word "mare".
4channers use "M.A.R.E." to taunt those who have complained, as a way of enabling contextually gross use of the word "mare".
"M.A.R.E." is now tainted for many who used to enjoy it, due to the taunting, connecting the song to the contextually gross use of the word "mare".
Now, many people associate the song "M.A.R.E." with the contextually gross use of the word "mare" on 4chan. --------------------------------
The problem is not the word itself.
The problem is not the song itself.
The problem is the context and form both are used in.
Using the word "mare" IN GROSS SEXUAL CONTEXT is the issue.
CHANTING the word "mare" is the issue.
TAUNTING with the song, "M.A.R.E.", is the issue.
That is what's been happening.
Using them casually is fine, go right ahead.
Just don't be a creep about it.
I apologize for again for missing some of the context in previous posts, so that's my bad, and I can somewhat see why so many people didn't understand the issue.
--------------------------------
As a side note, I will go ahead and say that people who are a little more sensitive should stay away from 4chan. I'm not your dad, so do what you want, but if you go there, you know EXACTLY what you're getting into. Don't be surprised if people are legit just insane and toxic over there.
That said, the creepy behavior is still gross, still makes people uneasy, and is not okay.
But please, anyone who uses the song to excuse taunting or malicious behavior is in no way speaking to the message of the song. "M.A.R.E." was born from silliness and fun, not degeneracy or indifference, and it is sad to see it used in such a horrible way.
I know you may not care, but shouting "mare" at cons causes discomfort to many people, and using our song as a crutch to excuse this behavior is not okay. By doing so, you give the song a negative meaning. Because of your actions, that person can no longer enjoy the song as intended.
You may find it fun or memey, but for me personally, when I find my actions have caused pain in some way, I do my best to mend and to try to understand how or why it caused pain, even if I never intended to. You can't excuse someone's pain just because you "didn't mean any harm".
So, you can continue to shout "mare" all you want, but do NOT use our song as a banner for your actions.
We are better than this.
"M.A.R.E." does NOT represent the fandom's degeneracy. If you choose to use it as such, feel free to block me on socials and unsubscribe from my channel.
