I help gamers simplify restoring and upgrading game systems.
All of this can seem daunting because of the technical language and skills involved. Having someone to demystify it all and go through it with you in plain language and a friendly demeanor makes it fun and rewarding.

Big news! I’ve launched a new indie game studio called Neo Tap Studios, LLC, and the debut game Cardera is available now for iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
Cardera is a strategic 5×5 card-puzzle on the Apple App Store. Drag and place playing cards to build poker hands in any direction—rows, columns, or diagonals.
When you make a hand, that line clears and opens space. Cascades and combos are where the big scores happen.
Prefer competition? There’s an optional worldwide Game Center leaderboard. Or play solo and chase your personal best and earn Game Center achievements. Family friendly with no gambling, only high scores.
No ads. No in-app purchases. No subscriptions. No data collection. Just a premium, one-time $2,99 game made with care at Neo Tap Studios.
Designed for accessibility with large fonts and high contrast. Backed by an original casino-style soundtrack with over 40 music tracks and real-world ambience.
You also get a Joker power that clears all cards of one suit. It’s great for resetting the board and setting up clutch runs.
Download Cardera for iPhone, iPad:, and Mac

We hit a new milestone together last night: 200K subscribers! When I started this journey in August 2019, I had two subscribers, and one was my best friend. I never dreamed "a guy like me" would ever have so many people click or tap that button here on YouTube. I am so grateful to you not only for doing so, but for the trust and faith you have placed in me to provide you with high quality videos. Thank you for coming along with me on this journey. I can't wait to see where we go next! :)

Big News in Gaming!
I’ve just launched Neo Tap Studios, a brand-new indie game company built around one simple idea — making Apple games with no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no personal data collected. Refreshing, isn’t it? :)
Cardera is the very first release — a strategic puzzle game that mixes the fun of poker hands with fast, addictive match-based gameplay. You’ll build hands in any direction, clear the board, trigger massive combos, and try to climb the leaderboard.
This is just the start. More premium, distraction-free games coming your way soon.
Help spread the word — let’s show the world that great games don’t need ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases, and that privacy matters!

Round 2: FIGHT! Got confirmation last night that I have Covid for the 2nd time. I'm a member in the club now. :) Oh, don't worry, I'm managing it and doing the quarantine thing for social responsibility. Just glad that the symptoms aren't as bad this time around. Stay safe!

Citra may have been shut down by "The Big N", but it lives on in the form of Azahar! It's a completely legit, clean room, no profit, public on GitHub, above board emulator for 3DS for Windows, and you can have it right now. Here's how to get it. https://youtu.be/kuyTo7NSzzs?si=S0leB...

I have 3-D printed a super villain to join the desktop. Standing 9" tall, he's from a classic 1990s point and click adventure. If you know it, finish this quote in the comments: "I feel like I could - like I could - like I could..."

My name is Blaine Locklair, and I am legally blind. Now, that is not to say that I am completely blind. It's more of a legal definition about how my eyesight actually works.
So this is NOT a pity party. As Zig Ziglar used to say, "The trouple with pity parties is that people don't usually show up, and when they do, they don't bring gifts." This is just me sharing with you how I see the world and, hopefully,, a means of giving hope and encouragement to those that suffer with similar challenges.
I have a genetic disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a genetic disorder passed down through families that causes the cells in the retina to gradually break down over time. It often begins with night blindness, followed by a slow loss of peripheral vision, creating a tunnel vision effect. As the condition progresses, some people may also develop sensitivity to light, trouble adjusting to darkness, and eventually central vision loss. RP is caused by mutations in genes that are critical for normal retinal function, and symptoms typically appear in childhood or early adulthood.
In my case, symptoms didn't appear until February 2006 at age 33. I went to sleep one night that month with a severe sinus infection. That next morning, I woke up with wavy distortions in my eyesight, which I later learned were called metamorphopsia. They have since cleared up, but other symptoms took their place.
Today, I have 20/400 vision uncorrected in each eye, along with blurry peripheral vision. I no longer drive, and I have severely hampered night vision. I've attached a picture of what the world looks like to those with RP. The black spot in the last picture is in my left eye but not my right one.
So, here's why this isn't a pity party. In spite of these challenges, I am supremely grateful. I can still see well enough to use a MacBook Pro and type this message to you. I can see well enough to work on the console mods and updates we enjoy together. I see well enough to continue to watch my teenage son evolve into the incredible man he is quickly becoming. I see well enough to do so many things that others with RP cannot.
I think it's important to note, however, that I am not "blessed" and people with lower vision than I have are not "cursed" because I can still do these things and others with RP cannot. We all have both joys and burdens, and as was said in the 80s movie Krull, "Each to his fate." Things like this are easy when there's some simple act to explain why it happened. I often joke and say RP would be easy if someone could look at you and say, "Hey, Bo, I told you not to eat that. Now look what done happened to you!" But RP is inherited, not earned, so it will impact each person differently, from those that can continue to function to those born completely blind.
There is, however, hope for those with RP. Gene therapy is making strides in treating certain cases of RP (not currently mine, though). Of special note is that some children striken with RP have received gene therapy and had their eyesight, and their daily lives at school and home, restored. I've always thought adults are better equipped to deal with such challenges, and children deserve the greatest deal of care in this world. It's heartwarming to know that there is hope.
But for those still continuing to struggle, there is also hope. Accessibility features in technology, for example, make it possible for those that would be excluded from using computers and game systems to be able to do so. Dark mode, larger text and menus, brighter displays with higher contrast, and other features are making it possible for those that would otherwise have been excluded from using them to do and enjoy extraordinary things. Their contributions to the world would not be possible without these assistive features.
Also, blindness organizations are out there offering free and low-cost assistive tools to people with low vision. These include not only technologies but training for unassisted in-home living, workforce training, and more.
Finally, what does all of this mean for this YouTube channel? Basically, nothing. I'm going to keep on making the videos on the things we all enjoy here together - modding and upgrading video game systems and emulating them on classic and modern hardware. As long as my vision holds out, I'll be here. I love what we do here, not only for the game systems, but for the incredible community of people here that make it the fun, rewarding environment that no other community offers.
Game on, friend. I'm in it to win it with you all the way.

N64 game prices are skyrocketing, with CIB examples averaging $120 each! But you can still play N64 and N64DD games on original hardware without harvesting organs to pay for them. Check out this video on the amazing SummerCart64 here: https://youtu.be/0PJBfWJG4x8
