What if healing isn’t about leaving your past behind?

It’s taken me a few days to integrate what happened while watching Alanis Morissette at Stampede.

Music has a remarkable way of bypassing the analytical mind. Before we can think, we’re remembering. Not just events, no but emotions, beliefs, identities, and the version of ourselves that lived through them.

As those familiar songs played, I wasn’t transported back into my teenage years. Instead, I found myself observing them.

Those years were shaped by profound grief after losing my cousin to suicide at just 16. What followed was a season of self-sabotage, recklessness, and trying to survive emotions that felt too big for my nervous system to process.

Standing beside my daughters decades later, I realized something had changed.

The memories were still there.

The emotions were no longer running the show.

That’s one of the quiet signs of subconscious healing.

People often believe healing means forgetting, moving on, or becoming someone completely different. In my experience, the subconscious doesn’t work that way. It isn’t asking us to erase the past- it invites us to update the meaning we’ve attached to it.

The younger version of me didn’t need fixing.

She needed witnessing.

She needed compassion.

She needed the future version of herself to finally say, “I understand why you became who you did.”

That shift changes everything.

The memory remains, but the emotional charge softens. The nervous system no longer reacts as though the past is still happening. What once felt fragmented becomes integrated.

As I watched my daughters, and the young women I love- living boldly and authentically, I wasn’t mourning the girl I used to be.

I was celebrating her.

Because without her resilience, I wouldn’t be the woman guiding others through their own subconscious transformations today.

Sometimes the deepest hypnosis isn’t something that happens in a session.

Sometimes life creates the perfect moment for your subconscious to show you just how far you’ve already come.

The Sidereal Channel

Today I was tested, and tested in a way that triggered not just one wound, but many.
A familiar situation came forth, one that I didn’t see coming, but yet when it began I was not surprised.
In the moments that once would have set me into fight or flight, I grounded deep into the earth, and despite the words coming at me I remained in my heart.
I listened to an attack where energies were working very hard to shake me.
Specific curated words meant to stab, didn’t enter my field.
It was like I was a living the exact scenario I spoke of in yesterday’s reading.
An example of someone projecting their three of swords energy directly at me.
But…
Instead of reacting I felt deep love and held this, I felt deep compassion for the woman sitting across from me.
I knew she was hurt, but didn’t have the language, or wasn’t willing to set aside her ego to share her vulnerabilities with me.
After letting her speak fully, I thanked her for being honest with me.
Not willing to fight or argue I placed my hand on my heart and spoke to her what I felt about her, and how I perceived the situation.
I spoke not looking to clear the air or fix the situation.
My intention to hold my integrity and not walk away feeling confused or upset with myself for letting myself be attacked without stating my truth.
In the end I walked away with a genuine smile in my heart. Knowing that a deep lesson has been integrated.
To love even when being attacked or misunderstood.
To love not just the person attacking, but myself standing inside of the projections.
Today I am forever grateful for this woman and will bless her each day, as she was a powerful teacher, unaware of the lesson she taught me.
The truth is she may always view me in a negative way, but it’s not my business or concern.
My role is to remain in my truth, following my direction, expecting miracles and blessings- especially on difficult times.

It is a term often used, but rarely embodied.

It is the willingness to leave behind.
It is the surrendering to walking blindly.

It is faith in what has yet to be formed and patience to see through a clear perspective.

In a world where delusion is surrounding us from every angle we must learn to become true alchemists & this requires bravery beyond the ordinary.
