The scientific way of entering the superconscious state is by the methods of lifeforce control I am giving to you. If you faithfully practice these techniques and meditate deeply, I prophesy you will never give it up. Lord Buddha sat under the bodhi tree in meditation with the firm resolve:

Beneath this banyan bough,
I take this solemn vow:
Let derma, bones, and body dissolve;
Until the mystery of life I solve,
From beneath this tree,
I shall never , never be free.

So should all of you feel resolute when you sit in meditation: “I am unshakably determined to know God.” With perseverance, a new awakening will come, a new inspiration. Every fear will fly away from you, even the fear of death. Death will come for this body only once; but some people die repeatedly in their thoughts of fear of death. Be fearless in the consciousness, “In life and death I am ever living in God.”

Once I was coming into my room and suddenly I saw myself lying on the bed, dead. I was so shocked! And the Lord said to me through the voice of Lahiri Mahasaya, “How do you like being dead?” At first I was shaken; then I replied, “Lord, it is all right. How can I be dead when I am fully aware and talking to you?” The voice laughed and the experience was over; and I saw again that there is no reason to be attached to the body. My body had been dead to me, but still I was conscious and talking.

Our real self, the soul, is immortal. We may sleep for a little while in that change called death, but we can never be destroyed. We exist, and that existence is eternal. The wave comes to the shore, and then goes back to the sea; it is not lost. It becomes one with the ocean, or returns again in the form of another wave. This body has come, and it will vanish; but the soul essence within it will never cease to exist. Nothing can terminate that eternal consciousness.
