Amazing day out at Charlotte Douglas yesterday for the last CLT Planespotters meetup of 2025!!

A day full of special liveries, another Atlas Air 747 charter, perfect weather, and sunburn 😂

The main attraction for yesterday was of course the Atlas Air 747-400 which was carrying the Miami dolphins in for their came today, now scheduled to leave in an hour from now but I won’t be seeing it 🫠

Today marks 1 year since the last fall CLT spotters meetup when we had an AN-12 fly in, and it’s amazing seeing how much the spotting community has grown since then, and I’m so glad Planespotting meetups are an annual Spring and Fall thing now!

It was great catching up with lots of spotter friends and meeting some new spotters, another meetup in the books and can’t wait for the Spring one… possibly with LA Flights?? 👀

I’ve had quite a few people share this link with me over the past few days and I did happen to see it on Sunday, I was posted on the ​⁠‪@SupercarBlondie‬ ‬website 😆

It’s a brief article about my visits to Maxton and the aircraft I shared their history on! It was so cool to see my channel written about and published on a major website and brand, and for clarification, I did not ask them to do this and had no participation in it once so ever, I just woke up Sunday morning to seeing the article all over my feed!

JetBlue is currently operating the last ever E190 flight between JFK and Boston… very sad seeing this amazing aircraft go. The E190 is currently the best aircraft I’ve flown in terms of flying quality for its smoothness during turbulence and surprisingly spacious cabin.

*New Trip Announcement - First Widebody Airliner*

It is with great excitement I announce not only my first flight on a widebody airliner and in Comfort+, but also my first ever solo trip!!

This day trip will consist of 3 total flights, with the main 2 being a one-way on Delta Airlines flying the B717 Charlotte to Atlanta, and then the B767-400 Atlanta to Miami, and finishing by flying a Spirit A321 Miami back to Charlotte!

This all started out as a "hypothetical looking,”but I found a date that worked for a pretty good price and who knows when I'll get a chance to fly the 767-400 domestic again, so I decided to book it!

For clarification, starting November 9th
Delta will be having a once daily round trip flight between ATL and MIA using the 767-400. I'm not sure how long these flights will last but they'll at least be available through November and December, and because round trips are so expensive, I decided I'll do a one way then look for an alternative back to CLT... which ultimately will be Spirit Airlines 😅

Because I wanted the best engine view on the 767-400, I decided to book a Comfort+ seat which I am very excited for but did mean I couldn't book my usual row 25 on the 717
🥲, but I'm still excited to fly the 717 again and experience a different seat on it!

I am waiting to book my Spirit return flight, but with it being at a great time, the cheapest option, a direct flight, and I've flown with them before, I'm willing to try flying with them 1 last time before they most likely stop existing (I've already done the research for getting my money back if they shut down, and if they do I'll have to book an AA flight)

I haven't flown since my Spirit FLL day trip in January so I'm so excited to get to flying again, hopefully Delta doesn’t pull any unlucky surprises for my first solo trip 😂, I’ll keep everyone updated!!

Very upsetting finding out that the Delta B757-200 that was my second 757 flight and first wingletless 757 flight, was retired earlier today... I had one of my most memorable and best flights ever onboard this remarkable aircraft. This is my first time witnessing the retirement of an aircraft I have a personal connection with and have flown before, and with most of my flights so far being on older aircraft, this experience will unfortunately become more occurring.. I have a strong feeling N324JB will be the next to go 😔

Can mark another classic aircraft off my Planespotting bucket list!

I finally got to see one of my most favorite private jets fly into Hickory Regional Airport today, the IAI Westwind (IAI 1124A Westwind to be exact)!

Only a few dozen remain in service with this particular one being manufactured in 1981
