Hey guys! Soooo as you may have noticed there wasn’t a video last Saturday and there most likely won’t be one this week either. For once I wasn’t just being lazy and there was a reason for this…

So, if you follow the news or keep up with the gaming industry then you’ve probably heard about Roblox being in some serious hot water right now, and coincidentally the video I had scheduled and was editing for this week are both Roblox games. Considering the circumstances, I thought it would be in poor taste to post those videos right now. I’m sure once things are resolved I’ll eventually upload the videos, but for now they are shelved because I just cannot in good conscience go on playing and supporting Roblox like nothing is wrong when in reality I strongly disagree with and am disappointed by their actions lately, now that it’s all coming to light.

Of course, the safety of minors (especially small children) should be top priority for them, and if it’s not then I don’t feel comfortable giving them any support even just on my tiny little platform. Morally and ethically speaking I’m appalled by the way they have been handling things and obviously I find it diabolical that they would rather protect pr*dators than innocent players, at the cost of the wellbeing of so many people and thus unreasonably allowing children to be exposed to very real dangers and by extension enabling these monstrous individuals a perfect environment to be able to do so. I cannot and will not stand for it, not as a small content creator nor as a person with morals.
In refusing to give Roblox any profit or (positive) attention for the time being it’s content creators way of saying this is wrong and we won’t just ignore it and let it be forgotten. The goal is that Roblox be forced to make the needed and necessary changes to protect kids and shut out literal criminals. Yes, I’m just a tiny speck of the internet and my avoiding the game right now is only a drop in the grand scheme of things but I simply will not just pretend the situation isn’t happening for my own fun or channel’s gain, and besides, I imagine it does hold meaning for the victims both past and present for every single person that is pushing back at Roblox right now.

Long story short to wrap it up please don’t let Roblox get away with this, don’t let it be forgotten and buried, educate yourself on the situation from reliable sources, tell others, and when appropriate warn parents and minors of the dangers and help inform on how to protect yourself online.
When and IF Roblox fixes what’s broken and makes changes for the better, I will return to the game. But until then I cannot in good faith give the game any support.
