Hiroko

Found out online of the passing of Dr. Toshikazu Kawasaki, Origami master and father of the Kawasaki Rose in March. I am deeply saddened to hear of this huge loss.

Dr. Kawasaki was a great Origami master and still a very kind and friendly person.
I contacted him through Instagram in 2024 about the new Music video of "Origami" song by Ibex and myself. I asked him if we can make and use the Kawasaki Rose on our video. He readily agreed. I was deeply moved that such a truly great person treated me with such kindness and gentleness.
During our conversation, I told him that someday I would like to invite him to India for an Origami workshop.
I regret that I couldn't show him the Origami Music video, and couldn't take him to India.

May his soul rest in peace🙏
His Kawasaki Rose and other Origami works are eternal🌹
