Hello everyone!
As we’ve been reading through the final chapters of Judges, I’m sure many of you have had similar questions on your mind:
Why is there so much violence in the Old Testament?
Why do God’s people also face death?
Why doesn’t God stop these things from happening?

Because these are important questions, I’ve decided to create a separate “Wheat Channel Q&A Special” to address them.
For timing reasons, I’ll be uploading the Chinese and English versions separately. Today, I’m sharing the Chinese version first. If you’re an English speaker, please bear with me for a couple of days, the English Q&A Special will be uploaded shortly after.

Next week, we’ll continue as usual with Judges chapter 21.

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your constant support and companionship for Wheat Channel! 😊

I’ll be taking a three-week break, so there will be no new videos during this time. During my holiday, I plan to rest well, draw near to the Lord, recharge, and prepare for future content.
But our spiritual appetite should never take a break! Without God’s Word even for a single day, our spirit becomes hungry.
If you haven’t had the chance to catch up on previous episodes, this is the perfect opportunity to go back and revisit earlier Bible studies, or even read ahead into the next chapter. The Scriptures are connected from start to finish, and reviewing as well as previewing will make your understanding much deeper.

May our Lord Jesus keep each of us during this time, and wherever we are, may we walk with Him and stay united in Him. 💖
When I return, we’ll continue diving into God’s Word together and building one another up in faith.

不过，吃属灵粮食的脚步可不能停哦！一天没有主的话，我们的心灵就会感到饥饿。

Now, we’re turning the page to a brand new book—the Book of Judges.

🧭 This book leads us into a spiritually intense and turbulent time.
After entering the Promised Land, Israel repeatedly fell into a cycle: turning away from God, falling into oppression, crying out, God raising up judges, and then revival. Strangely familiar, right? That same cycle still echoes in our own lives. 💔➡️❤️➡️🔥

Why does “Wheat Channel” focus on Bible Reading?

In today’s digital age, we’re surrounded by endless sermons, teachings, and opinions. Yet many people are not actually familiar with the Bible itself.
It’s easy to be misled when we follow human words without truly knowing God’s Word.

1 Peter 4:11 says, “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.”
I truly believe that nothing nourishes our souls more than directly reading the Word of God.
No second-hand commentary or teaching can ever replace the power of God’s own words.

That’s why my goal over the next few years is to consistently upload bilingual Bible readings (Chinese and English) for all 66 books of the Bible.
To help us become more familiar with Scripture—and grow in love for God’s Word.

Why Bilingual?

Because I’ve personally been deeply blessed by bilingual Bible reading.
Sometimes switching from one language to another brings a new understanding or highlights something I hadn’t noticed before.
It even helps me notice translation differences and prompts deeper study.

Reading Scripture in both Chinese and English opens up fresh insights and touches the heart in different ways.

This bilingual format is also meant to help English speakers learn Chinese through God’s Word—and vice versa.
Let’s grow together, across languages, in our love for Scripture.

Why start with Nehemiah?

Most preachers tend to choose passages they’re more familiar with or stories that are easier to explain.
But books like Nehemiah are often overlooked, and many Christians have never heard them taught clearly.

I used to listen to sermons for years without actually reading the Bible myself.
When I finally started reading it, I realised how unfamiliar I was with many stories and verses. Some verses felt like I was seeing them for the first time!

That’s when I realised: the parts of the Bible that are least emphasised are often the ones we most need to hear.

Why start from Chapter 4? Where are Chapters 1–3?

This is actually my second YouTube channel.
The first three chapters of Nehemiah were uploaded on my first channel.
Since the format and focus are different here, I decided to begin uploading from Chapter 4.

Once I’ve finished reading all 13 chapters, I plan to go back and re-record Chapters 1 to 3, so the entire book will be complete.
After that, I’ll begin the next book of the Bible.

為什麼「小麥頻道」注重朗讀聖經？

Why Bible Reading?

在這個網路資訊爆炸的時代，到處都是講道、解經、評論，卻越來越少人真正熟悉神的話語。許多人甚至從未自己讀過整本聖經，很容易就被人的話語牽著走。
【彼得前書 4:11】說：「若有講道的，要按着神的聖言講。」
但我深深覺得，沒有任何事比直接讀神的話語更能餵養人靈。沒有任何二手資料能勝過神一手啟示的話語。

因此，我希望在未來幾年，每週持續上傳聖經六十六卷書的中英文朗讀，幫助大家重新親近神的話，培養渴慕與熟悉。

為什麼要中英文雙語朗讀？

因為我自己就是在中英文雙語朗讀中受益匪淺。有時候，一節經文從中文轉換成英文，或者從英文換成中文，會產生新的亮光，甚至讓我意識到翻譯上的不同，也激起我更深地查考原意。
不同語言的角度，幫助我更全面地明白經文，觸動心靈也更多元。

此外，也希望這樣的雙語內容，能夠幫助英語使用者學習中文聖經，或中文讀者更熟悉英文版聖經，一起在神的話語上扎根成長。

為什麼從《尼希米記》開始？

大部分的講員都傾向講一些自己熟悉、聽眾容易接受的經文。但許多書卷如《尼希米記》常常被忽略，甚至從來沒聽過講解。
事實上，我自己也曾多年聽講道卻沒讀過聖經，直到自己開始讀，才驚訝地發現原來這些故事、這些經文我完全不熟悉。那一刻我意識到，越是不被重視的經文，我們越要去重視，因為神的每一句話都有祂的心意。

為什麼從第四章開始上傳？

Why Start from Chapter 4? Where Are Chapters 1–3?

因為這是小麥的第二個頻道，而在第一個頻道中，我已經上傳了《尼希米記》第一至第三章。
由於新頻道的格式和內容定位不同，我決定從第四章重新開始上傳。
當我完成全書十三章的朗讀後，也會回頭重新錄製前面三章，補齊整卷書的朗讀內容。之後，也會陸續開始下一卷書的朗讀。
