Dead Angel Ensemble (DAE) is Shane Beck (words) and Olik Nesnah (music). In this unique collaboration, Shane Beck’s, H.P.Lovecraft influenced, narrative comes to life through Olik Nesnah’s atmospheric madness. Shane sternly speaks, sings, snarls and growls as the tale unfolds, while Olik Nesnah takes the listener through a variety of musical landscapes; dark ambient, drone, and noise ambient, all with a very gloomy and catacombal feel, as the listener descends winding stairs, candelabra in hand, to a place few have seen (or returned from). Rounded out with a slew of field recordings throughout, “Bow To The Old Ones,” is an immersive experience, unlike you’ve experienced before!

Greetings. 2025 is here. I’m not dead. Yet. Anyway, I decided to semi-reactivate this channel after not doing much of anything with it for over a year. No, I’m not going back to vlogging, really no interest, but I did make the choice to finally get all my old interviews from my long lost ‘zine, Lunar Hypnosis, online. I’ve uploaded a select few in years past, but it's time to get all of them up for archiving purposes… just in case the CDR I have with them dies randomly. My ‘zine was multi genre, but mostly focusing on underground heavy metal. That being said, there were quite a few interviews conducted with non-metal artists, which will be uploaded to my other channel since it really doesn’t make sense to feature them here. Greetings everyone, this isn't metal related, but if you're interested in Dark Ambient / Death Industrial / Power Electronics, I posted this on my other YouTube channel recently. Some good news related here though, is that yours truly might be making a return soon! Keep your fingers crossed, and leave no cross unturned, for my cometh shall come!

Gruntsplatter is the long-running project created by Scott E. Candey, which sprang to life in 1994. Gruntspaltter exists somewhere within the gray area between noise and dark ambient music, perhaps also within the realms of death industrial and power electronics, although the sounds are not always so clearly defined.

In this documentary, probably my most elaborate one to date, I take you through Scott’s music with Gruntsplatter throughout the years, as well, mentioning his various side projects and collaborations over the years too. Enjoy!!

Thanks for all the kind words and those that checked out my latest video!! I'm for sure taking the rest of the year off, and maybe, maybe will re-evaluate things once we get a little bit into 2024. For now, however, I need to live a simpler life.

If I do post anything on this channel, and I might, it might be some more of my old interviews I did from 2001-2008 or maybe some old demos that are not yet on YouTube.
