John "Joy" Tay. 20 y/o pansexual/ genderfluid arranger/ composer who just enjoys chiptune. Mostly writes for FM sound chips. Don't expect me to update this often lol
All works are arranged and written personally and are not written with MIDI sequencers or with them in mind, do refrain from asking about MIDIs.
Works mostly involve tildearrow's furnace tracker, but also occasionally include renoise and Caustic 3. Previously used DefleMask, PixiTracker, FamiTracker and BambooTracker as well.

in commemoration of the new collab with rrthiel,
these past few months have been pretty rough for me. i've been dealing with a lot of self-doubt and self-denial in fear of coming off as too arrogant, and my confidence was shot. all my self-sabotaging and people pleasing tendencies started to show up in that time. i could still write music and do it well, but for a while it felt like there wasn't much purpose behind it.
thiel and i working on 'look at me' for 2-ish months and finally releasing publicly made me remember why i was here in the first place. it was never truly about the fame, or the money, as much as i enjoyed these things. i enjoyed working with thiel, as much as we both were busy. we ended up with something that left a mark, and i think that's what matters.
i thank everyone for the support throughout these rough 6-7 years. feel free to listen to the song on thiel's channel!
edit: a lot of stress has built up from me doing freelance work so i have been very particular about how i have been writing music, i want to make a good impression for my clients so i don't let myself slack off haha. though sometimes being good at your job makes you very lonely
