The Art of Flow
Many people mistake softness for weakness.
Nature teaches us otherwise.
The branch that bends survives the storm.
The one that refuses to bend often snaps.
The Tao Te Ching reminds us that softness is not about giving in.
It is about knowing when to yield, when to adapt, and when to let time do its work.
Sometimes, the strongest response is not to push harder.
It is to remain calm, stay flexible, and keep moving forward.
**Can you think of a time when flexibility achieved what force could not?**

The Art of Flow
"Today is the youngest you will ever be for the rest of your life."
A scientist friend said this to me during our Tai Chi practice last Saturday.
He said it casually—calm, grounded, smiling.
Yet the words have stayed with me ever since.
His youthfulness defies his age.
He radiates a kind of youthful energy that many people - twenty years his junior - lose as they become busier, more stressed, and more rigid.
His secret?
He treats each day as a beginning, not a continuation.
A chance to stay curious. To stay active. To stay alive inside.
I have come to realize that age does not slow us down.
Stagnation does.
The moment we believe we already know enough...The moment we stop exploring...The moment we stop growing...
We begin to age far more quickly than our years.
Flow is not about remaining young forever.
It is about remaining open.
Open to new ideas.Open to change.Open to becoming someone you have never been before.
And perhaps that is why this simple sentence feels so powerful:
Today is the youngest you will ever be for the rest of your life.
So why wait?
What would you do differently if you truly believed today is the youngest you will ever be?

The Art of Flow
Most people see a cup and notice its shape, color, or beauty.
Lao Tzu sees something else.
He sees the emptiness within.
The value of the cup is not in the clay.
It is in the empty space that allows it to hold something.
The visible is important.
But often, the invisible is what creates value.
This insight extends far beyond a cup.
In business, the visible is the product. The invisible is trust.
In leadership, the visible is authority. The invisible is influence.
In relationships, the visible is conversation. The invisible is understanding.
The visible matters.
But often, it is the invisible that makes everything else possible.
This is what I call The Invisible Half of Life.

The Art of Flow
Trust that nature will bring the bottle back.
I was on a coach traveling up a mountain in Chiang Mai.
As we descended, a water bottle rolled all the way to the front of the bus.
Someone leaned forward to retrieve it.
But a fellow traveler smiled and said:
*"Don't worry. It will roll back when we go uphill."*
And moments later, it did.
That small moment stayed with me.
Not because it was clever. But because it reminded me of an important truth:
When we understand how nature works and align ourselves with it, there is less urgency, less struggle, and less need to interfere.
We spend much of our lives chasing outcomes, forcing solutions, and trying to control every detail.
Yet many things in life are like that bottle.
Given the right conditions, they return naturally.
Relationships heal.
Ideas mature.
Opportunities reappear.
Clarity emerges.
Wu Wei is not passive waiting.
It is understanding the direction of the terrain and moving with it rather than against it.
The Art of Flow is not about doing nothing.
It is about knowing when to act,
and when to trust that nature will bring the bottle back.

The Art of Flow
For many years, I have explored flow through Tao Te Ching, Wu Wei, and practical wisdom.
But before all of these, there was Shibashi.
It was the first Qigong routine I truly mastered. Simple in appearance, yet profound in what it taught me.
Simple movements.
Gentle breathing.
Yet beneath these movements lies something deeper:
How to relax without becoming passive.
How to move without forcing.
How to find stillness within motion.
Although my practice has since expanded in many directions, I have never stopped returning to Shibashi.
Today, I have uploaded a full demonstration of this beautiful practice.
More importantly, I am beginning to develop a structured training program to share what I have learned over the years, and I would love to hear from you.
What attracts you most to Shibashi?
- Relaxation
- Health and vitality
- Energy cultivation
- Moving meditation
- The philosophy behind the practice
Share your thoughts below.

The Art of Flow
Time is predictable. After 9 a.m., it is 10 a.m., and after today, it is tomorrow. It flows like a steady river.
But timing is a delicate dance, fluid yet powerful. It’s not always predictable, but that is where its beauty lies.
However, it is timing that makes life interesting and exciting, more like a journey of discovery. It directs your attention to opportunities that are all around you, and if you can open your eyes and stay alert, you'll be amazed by the abundance of opportunities that are awaiting you to make a difference in your life.
Interacting timing into your time management will improve your effectiveness manifolds. Find out why:
