Check out my latest creation on my long-time-no-see second channel-- a mythology/fantasy-inspired folk horror soundtrack that will take you to the Romani camp as dusk falls, and old tales of the werewolves are told around the camp fire. The legends may be truer than you think! This Eastern-European folk music features dark foreboding suspense, whining violins, and strong, quick dance-like beats as it tells the story of the werewolf's transformation under the full moon and stalking through the woods on the hunt for its next victim. I had a lot of fun being able to create the music according to my detailed prompts and vision with an AI tool, I have been wanting to make music for many years but the only available tools were either extremely expensive and/or could only be used on devices that were brands I didn't have access to, so this was a special treat! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE1Hf...

The Krampus, a type of creature known as a Perchten, in old times in Bavaria symbolized the fury of winter weather, a scary creature looming in the cold with branches that may whip someone who ventured out in the dark. Later to preserve the folktale and the festivities that became associated with it, he was associated with the devil as a way to get the church to be okay with it if Krampus could be the opposite figure of Saint Nicholas. Now Krampus runs in Austria and Germany have Saint Nicholas leading them on December 5th, Krampusnacht ("Krampus night"), the night before Saint Nicholas Day. Happy Krampusnacht! Beware if you were naughty, Krampus is comin' to town!

Spooky Christmas lore time! Mari Lwyd, the Welsh wassailing Yuletide horse skull decorated with ribbons and bells. One party member hides under a white sheet trailing from the back of the skull, then leads a group of neighbors or friends around the village to houses and pubs. At each door, the Mari Lwyd and attendants sing rhyming verses, then wait for the inhabitants to respond in the like, the first group to run out of songs and rhymes losing the match. If you lose to the Mari Lwyd, you have to let the group of singers in and provide them with food and drink. On the bright side, tradition has it that having the Mari Lwyd in your house brings luck and drives out evil spirits, which is probably worth the goods you’ll give away!

Christmas monster lore time! Grýla in Icelandic folklore is a hideous and greedy ogress who lives in the mountains. Parents warn she will come down to the village to eat naughty children at Yuletide, cooking them in a stew in her cauldron. Grýla's cat is the monstrous Yule Cat, and the mischievous Yule Lads are her children. This statue of her and a Yule Lad is at Keflavík International Airport.
