Welcome to my channel. I love technology, tech, gadgets, and anything related to computers, gaming, and networking. In this channel, I would like to share my "Let's Configure" and "Unboxing" series.

In "Let's Configure" series, I will do some research on some topics and/or devices and configure it. I will not be an SME (Subject Matter Expert) but I will be doing the role of someone exploring and learning the nooks and crannies of a certain hardware/software. In doing so, I hope that viewers will learn from my mistakes, and as well as from my learnings.

In "Unboxing" series, I will share techs/gadgets that I have acquired. I like things that are a good bargain, as well as good quality tech. This is mostly a "first impression" type of video, nowhere near a "review", and device has been used, at most, 24 hours unless I specified differently.

To all the the viewers and subscribers, thank you very much for checking out my contents. If you have been watching my contents and I helped you or at least find it interesting, or maybe even entertaining, please "Like", and "Subscribe". I want to grow my channel, we already reached 2k+ subscribers!

As for my series of videos, in the last two or three years, my focus with TP Link Omada was how to introduce separation of WAN routing vs LAN routing, "Layer 3" Switching and all the good stuff that revolves around it (ACLs, VPNs, QoS, LAG/LACP, etc) because many devices today are mixed LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN/Wireless Router. That is not to say those are bad, but my preference has always been separation of roles and responsibilities.

Also, my intended audience are the new folks, as well as new Omada users and as I continue to make contents, I touched into more advanced topics little by little, and I have introduced so many "firsts" when it comes to Omada, such as:

* Layer 3 Switching (InterVLAN via Switch) -
* Stateful ACL (Gateway)
* Stateless ACL (Switch)
* mDNS Configuration
* PPSK
* Locking Down DNS
* Wired Guest Network (complimenting Wireless/WiFi Guest)
* Wireguard Configuration
* Port Isolation
* Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol
* Break-away from Router-on-Stick (without Layer 3 Switching)
* DNS Proxy
* Auto Deny VLAN (NeXTGen LAN)
and more... (i.e. custom Trunk Configuration, Static Routing, Static Switch Routing, LAG/LACP, and even more)

I spent a lot of time setting the stage for my goal (as mentioned, 3yrs+), and this year, my first video was sort of a "Back to Basics" which gives me a chance to revisit the concepts, check how things have evolved/stayed, and introduce some of the concepts/ideas/topics that I may have missed.

This is also the reason why my second video for this year is still about the basics, as I really want the viewers to follow and easily understand the videos I plan to release in the future. I hope you guys enjoy the show and join me for the ride.

I am putting in the final polish to my latest video, LC81. It is all about VLANs, how it is related to Omada Software Defined Network, why it is needed and more. I have demonstrated VLANs using TP Link devices in both Controller and Stand Alone mode. As a teaser, you might be familiar with the similarity of VLAN and Subnet, but is there a difference? How about a VLAN ID and a VLAN Tag, are they one and the same or not? What is a Native VLAN, and what is a PVID?

Hey All, my response to your comments and posts will be delayed more than usual due to real-life/work stuff in the next several days. If you need technical assistance with Omada or TP Link in general, check out their official forum or check out the reddit community (links below) or do a quick search in YT because the big channels offer paid technical support. Of course, there are many other areas to find support but these are just to give you some easy leads.

Also, I just released a new video about Omada and pfSense. I have shown how to "link" the VLANs between these separate systems and have demonstrated using these linked VLANs by using pfSense as a DHCP server and providing DHCP leases to clients in the Omada LAN. Check out LC78!

And finally, I made an "AI generated" image to go with this announcement, I think it turned out fine :). When you get the chance, post yours and what tool you used. (I used canva)

Till next time, good hunting!
