RPG Challenge Runs

Join our bold quest to complete the best Role-Playing Games in unusual & difficult ways that the developers definitely didn't intend!

These 'restrictions' include no money, no party members, no summons, only using starting equipment/skills, and many more! It's a bit like a speedrun.

Every game is on the menu: from Final Fantasy to Persona, Soulsborne series to Dragon Quest - if it's even slightly an RPG, we'll give it a shot. Thanks for popping in, and I hope you have fun here!

⚔️ New challenge runs uploaded every month! ⚔️

RPG Challenge Runs

Hello, adventurers! (TL;DR at end)

As we approach the big 25k subscriber milestone (thank you all so much!!), I have a quick channel update for you.

In the past I've been very open about how this channel is just a hobby, not a business, which is why I DO NOT accept sponsorships etc. I've also talked about how we sometimes change the "style" of the videos to see what you guys prefer and what performs best.

It's obvious from viewer numbers and your comments that most of you prefer LONGER videos of LONGER RPGs (Persona, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade etc). However, these kind of games often take over 100 hours to complete, especially with harsh challenge run restrictions, and when you add in the time it takes to create and edit the videos (file conversions, scripting, recording, etc) you're looking at a 150+ hour investment PER VIDEO. This isn't something that I can realistically keep making every month. Alongside my full time job, there literally aren't enough hours in the day.

So, what are the choices here? Well, either we exclusively do runs of shorter RPGs (e.g. FUGA & P5 Strikers) which are less popular but I'm able to create every month, OR we go back to our roots: full-length videos of full-size RPGs, but videos get released "when they're ready".

I believe Option 2 is best for the viewers and for the channel - it just means we have to be more patient waiting for video releases.

In between videos, I want to give Patreon supporters sneak peaks into the progress of the current runs, as well as other scrapped content that never made it to Youtube (e.g. impossible challenge runs).

I hope you guys support this decision of the channel returning to its roots. I'm excited to share the next run with you (when it's ready!) but until then, get out there and deal some MASSIVE DAMAGE for me! 😉

Lewis

TL;DR: Future challenge runs will no longer be released every month. Instead, they will be longer videos of full-size RPGs and will be released when they're ready. Wider range of content going to Patreon backers to compensate.

RPG Challenge Runs

Gonna need another week or two before posting the next challenge run - it's proving to be a tricky one!

I'm no ARTeIST, but I'd rather release something that goes BEYOND your expectations than throw out something half-baked. Thanks for your patience - I'm sure it'll be a HOOT! 😉

RPG Challenge Runs

Ahoy, brave adventurers! This weekend, we have TWO challenge runs for you instead of just one.

Friday: An underrated JRPG gem that you might not have played before (don't worry, no story spoilers!)
Saturday: A popular Western RPG, with the channel's first Viewer Request run!

Both will be live at 8PM UTC (GMT) - hope to see you there! 😀
