So you all can start gathering your supplies for the Bee Farm Bee Hive Hut here is what I used for my finish. All supplies were purchased through Micheals
Main parts of the hut(photo2): -Folk Art Matte - 2637 SUCCULENT for the first base coat(let dry) -after first coat is dry then paint with crackle medium Folk Art Medium - 696 CREATE INSTANT CRACKLED EFFECT let dry for an hour (the thinner the coat the the smaller the crackle, thicker coat will produce more crackle) -after the crackle coat has sat for an hour paint on the top coat in one smooth motion, don’t go back and forth, it will start to crackle almost right away. Top coat is Craft Smart Matte Beach glass
Use the same application for the roof parts, base and legs. Colours used for those parts are as follows: Base - Folk Art Matte 940 COFFEE BEAN(let dry fully) Crackle medium(let dry an hour) Top coat - White
I used the Folk Art Brushed Metal 5122CA BRUSHED ANTIQUE GOLD for the honey drips and the bee.
*Please note* a BLACK paint is also used for the bee and a few minor spots on the base of the hut. This paint is not pictured in the photo of supplies.
@paisleysandpolkadots has an amazing tutorial video on how to paint for the crackle! Check it out.
