Hello! I'm an ecologist from Scotland with a passion for rewilding and the natural world.
On this channel I look to share my thoughts on ecology, ecological restoration and other issues facing biodiversity in this country. I believe that rewilding can not only significantly benefit wildlife but benefit people also.
Hopefully I can teach people something new or get folk interested in wildlife, the environment and general ecology.

THE ECONNORGIST IS BACK. Well…kind of! Recently I’ve had the privilege of presenting a Rewilding mini-series for Woodlands TV. It’s been a great experience, working with filmmaker Jack D’ Gama and his equipment - much fancier than my own - and the production quality is excellent! If you’d like to watch the first episode search for ‘Woodlands TV - What is Rewilding?’ - and keep an eye out for future videos. As for my own channel? I’m hoping to make more videos soon, it’s been a very busy year for me life wise and getting out to make videos has been a bit tricky. I’ll get back out there at some point! I recently hit 1000 subscribers as well, a fantastic milestone for the channel and I’m eager to give you all some more content. Thank you all for the continued support. 🌱 🌳 🌲 🐺 🐗 🦫

Happy Anniversary! Yesterday marked 1 year since I uploaded my first video to the channel. It’s been really enjoyable watching the channel slowly grow. Thanks to everyone who has subscribed and engaged with the content. I hope my videos have maybe taught you something new, left you feeling inspired or simply got you more interested in ecology and rewilding. Hope you all enjoy the rest of Autumn and I’ll back again in the near future with some new stuff. Cheers! 🍂

Did you catch my latest video? If so I hope you all enjoyed it! I can’t recommend going to watch Mull’s Eagles highly enough - it’s a wonderful wildlife experience. Wow - there’s been a lot of activity on the channel over the past couple of weeks with lots of new views and subscriptions! I just want to thank everyone for the support and positive comments on the videos, it genuinely means a lot to me. I started the channel to try and capture peoples imaginations and spark discussion of rewilding issues and so far I’m really enjoying reading your opinions on the matter. Naturally there are plans for future videos! The past couple of months have been busy for various reasons and annoyingly I’ve not managed to get out to do any filming. That said, I’m looking forward to sharing more content with you and I thank you all again for the support. Wishing everyone all the best for 2023 🌲 🌳 🏔
