Hey everyone, I'm glad that you enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner video. On last Sunday's video Marie said she remembered me making her a strawberry cake for her birthday but I didn't remember it. I looked it up and I did make it. This cake is perfect for Christmas so we decided to share this video again Friday morning. Be sure and watch it and no negative comments on Calvin's cake making ability allowed, lol.
Seriously, I hope that you enjoy the video. Marie has felt good all day today but we still haven't finished our big tree in the living room.

Hey everyone, Marie went to the orthopedic doctor on Tuesday and he said her arm has healed good and that since she is dealing with the abcess that she will be fine to continue doing her hand exercises at home. On Wednesday Marie went to her primary care doctor and she said that Marie is recovering good but to expect 6 to 8 weeks to get back to normal.
We don't have a new video for Thursday but I'm thinking about posting a video of the last time that we hosted Thanksgiving Dinner at our house. I just finished watching it and I think that most of our viewers will enjoy seeing Marie and the family back then. If you would like to see the video let me know in the comments and I will get it ready for Thursday at about 12:00

Hey everyone, this is Calvin. Just a quick update on Marie. This is her breakfast today. She is eating good and she feels about the same as when she was released from the hospital. She will have another CT Scan in about 10 more days to check on the abcess in her abdomen. We had to visit the vascular surgeon yesterday and it was a hard process going out in public with the drain attached to Marie. Thankfully everything went good. Marie is not feeling good enough to do a video update right now. Marie said to thank everyone for your continued prayers. I will update everyone as often as I can until I'm able to do a video and give you more information.

Hey everyone, this is Calvin. Marie got to come home late this evening. We got home about 6:00 pm. Marie is doing better but she still has the abcess to deal with along with a couple of other problems. We are both exhausted. I will try to do a short video tomorrow evening to give more information on how she is doing.
We appreciate all of your prayers, we have really felt them. We know that you were praying for our caregivers because we absolutely had the best.

Hey everyone, we've been at the hospital for six days now. The doctor said that we still have a few more days to be here. We were able to make a Sunday Chat video from the hospital room for Sunday. Marie is some better.

Marie is back from her surgery procedure this morning. It was more painful than she expected. There is lots to talk about, but Marie and I need to talk first to determine how much to share. The most important thing is that she is ok now. She will be having a drainage tube for a while. She will probably be in the hospital for several more days and keep the drainage tube for a couple of weeks depending on amount of drainage. Marie will be on a strong antibiotic until everything is better. We appreciate your continued prayers and i will continue to update everyone.

It has really been a long day. Marie's surgery procedure has not been done yet. They have been saying all day that they are coming to get her. It's a little after 5 pm and they still haven't got her. The nurse is concerned that they may postpone it until tomorrow. We are both very disappointed.
I will post again if anything changes this evening.
Addison and Avery both got to visit Nana Marie and it made them all happy..
Marie is doing better today than she was yesterday.

This picture was from just a week ago. It has been a very long day for us. The doctor has determined that Marie has an abcess in her pelvic area close to her intestine that has a lot of fluid. They will be doing surgery in the morning to hopefully drain the fluid without having to cut her open. She also has blockages in the arteries going to both legs. He said that Marie will need to see a vascular specialist later to take care of this.
Marie's blood pressure is back up now but they are still giving her IV fluids. The doctor didn't say this but there is a possibility that the abcess is a result of problems caused from her big surgery back in 2015.
Let's all pray that her surgery goes smoothly tomorrow 🙏

Marie's blood pressure dropped very low last night. I brought her to the ER this morning. They gave her two units of IV fluids so far and they have done blood test, chest x-ray, heart EKG and an abdominal CT Scan. We are currently waiting on the doctor to let us know what the results are and how they will treat her.
I will update later this evening when I know more.
