Some Bitcoin Vegas 2026 takeaways đ„łđ°đ€©
TLRD: I had a great time. I felt it was worth my time. Our talk on the mainstage was successful. I loved talking to other movers & shakers in the Bitcoin/crypto space. Meeting new people and reconnecting with peers and old friends is always my favorite part.
Altcoin Daily has been a speaker & attended Bitcoin Conference for many years now. Altcoin Daily regularly attends and speaks at top crypto conferences & events around the world.
This is my review of this conference, BTC Vegas 2026:
MARKET BACKDROP: Obviously Bitcoin is in a bear market (same thing every crypto conference has to deal with) means a quieter & more focused conference. The real builders and believers attend. It is nice to see who is especially still active in the space & took the time to attend and participate.
Altcoin Daily spoke on the Namakoto mainstage on Day 2. We also had the opportunity to jump on the Bitcoin Magazine Live News Desk to add commentary.
We talked to so many Bitcoin believers!
MY ICE BREAKER THIS YEAR: âDo you think the Bitcoin bottom is in or do you think we see lower lows?â The vast majority answered that they expect lower lows. (interesting)
SOMETHING MANY HAVE NOTICED: The Bitcoin Conference definitely had a more tradfi/corporate vibe. The âBitcoin as digital goldâ conversation now takes a backseat to the âdigital creditâ conversation.
Change is to be expected of course. The industry is & always has been maturing. The cypherpunk/libertarian/'pay for a cup of coffee with Bitcoinâ days have been in the past for quite some time.
I remember WAY back in the day when crypto conferences were much more niche, degen, and âon the fringeâ (Speaker Andreas Antonopoulos famously declared in 2017 he would no longer speak at crypto conferences if âbooth babesâ or sexualized marketing was allowed.) So change and maturation has always been a constant.
SAYLOR: I liked Michael Saylorâs mainstage talk and Whale Lounge (THE DEEP) Q&A. He definitely is âtheâ celebrity here lol.
But of note: it seems like Michael Saylor, Jack Maller, and all the expected Bitcoin Conference names donât have tons of time to speak directly about Bitcoin nowadays as theyâre speaking about their companies & digital credit products. Much like any of his recent podcast interviews, Saylor was answering more questions about $MSTR & $STRC than Bitcoin itself. It is all related back to their bullish thesis of Bitcoin I guess⊠so not a knock. Just a note.
And although there were some OG Bitcoiner-centric panels that anyone could attend (like âMaking Bitcoin Babies Sovereign Starts in the Wombâ.) The conference, like the industry itself, is largely looking forward to its new era (that Bitcoin has been in for a couple years now).
ENTERTAINERS IN ATTENDENCE: Adrain Grenier, Ryan Long, Afroman, Sean Kelly
OTHER NAMES: Tim Draper, Eric Trump, David Marcus,
VEGAS ITSELF: The city is fun. I like Vegas. Iâve had a great time both years at Bitcoin Vegas, BUT to me it always feels like Bitcoin Conference is swallowed into the hustle and bustle of the maze of excitement that is Vegas hotels and the Vegas strip itself.
I loved Bitcoin Nashville in 2024. Iâm glad to be back there next year.
MY FAVORITE EVENTS: Speaker Night, Whale Night, Satoshi Action Fund Party, meetups & dinners with friends
FAVORITE MAINSTAGE MOMENT: Afroman performing
IN CONCLUSION: If youâre into Bitcoin & crypto, I do think itâs worth it to attend. As someone in the crypto industry, I try to attend one or two crypto conferences per year. The Bitcoin Conference consistently has been one of the great ones. It is a more Bitcoin-centric conference of course in an industry where crypto continues to be a growing part of the conversation (not just Bitcoin) but that's what make it memorable. We can all come together around the ideals of Bitcoin, and Satoshi's original vision. Bitcoin is the market leader for a reason and Bitcoin Conference allows us all to celebrate it.

I met Satoshi Nakamoto back in 2020 and I asked him one question. What he answered surprised even me.
For those wondering if Satoshi will ever sell his coins..
LET ME EXPLAIN:
NYT just published an article claiming Adam Back is likely Satoshi, after a year-long investigation.
Amazing! I was once on a livestream with Adam Back. During the stream I asked him one question!
This was on a 'Bitcoin Halving' livestream hosted by Tone Vays back in 2020. Tone invited myself and many other prominent bitcoin players to jump on his stream going on almost all day. When I jumped on Adam Back (aka the alleged Satoshi) was also on with several others.
During the the conversation I jumped in and asked Adam Back this:
"Do you still get excited when Bitcoin's price pumps?"
He smiled and responded, "I trade Bitcoin". It was an obvious 'yes bitcoin price action still excites me' type of answer.
CONCLUSION: Satoshi Nakamoto trades Bitcoin?
If Adam Back is Satoshi Nakamoto it's possible he doesn't need to touch Satoshi's huge Bitcoin stash because he has traded & gained many times over with another stash. OR it is also possibly Adam Back lost more money trading than he ever used to own/mine.
If that's the case... could he still access it?
What do you think? Is Adam Back Satoshi? Who is?
