Hey, I’m Alyah! A multihyphenate renaissance girlie—artist, designer, and creative director—and this is my Designer Diaries, where I’m sharing my journey behind the scenes of leaving corporate tech, starting my first business in my 20’s, and creating my dream life along the way.
After 6 years of designing and barely getting by, I finally decided to allow myself to explore and get curious about creating for me again and collabing with creators and brands who get the vibe 🦋
This reflection space matters to me, somewhere to show the good and bad, and I know having a safe space like this matters to a lot of us. We don’t owe perfection to the internet but we owe honesty, compassion, and a bit of dreamy whimsy to ourselves.

One of my favorite things about being a small creator is how quiet it is at the start. You get to have more fun, try things out, and build connections that actually mean something.
I'm at 491 subscribers rn and putting that into perspective, 491 people decided to support a stranger's journey on finding her creative spark and going after her dreams, that's incredible :)
There's no rush to try to be the best, get as many subscribers as possible, no offputting deadlines or expectations. Unless you want it to be that way.
