Guess what’s back after 2 years? The ASMR Apothecary! I’ve had so many requests to bring this series back, and the new video is ready for you: https://youtu.be/H2jimGjTTl0

Thanks to everyone who joined the Premiere of the video last night! Right after, I did a 2-hour ASMR livestream on YouTube and in the middle of it, an ASMR legend walked into the chat. ASMR Zeitgeist! One of my all-time favorites. I was full-on fan-girling 😂 His videos are always so creative and beautifully made, so having him drop by was a huge honor. 💜

If you missed it, you can still watch the livestream replay here: youtube.com/live/Pvc6boUn5mw

Enjoy the new video and the stream! 💜

Get spoiled rotten at a luxury French restaurant ASMR style. My new delicious video is finally here: https://youtu.be/BKgy7NLUTHg

I actually recorded this a year ago but didn’t get around to editing it (turns out filming with real food props is… a lot). But I’m so glad it’s finally out in the world. I hope it makes you feel relaxed, pampered, and just a little bit fancy.

Hi everyone, remember me? 😊 Sorry I haven't posted a long-form video in a while. I've been pretty swamped now that content creation has become my full-time job. My YouTube channel took a back seat while I was busy growing my TikTok (now at 1.8M followers!) and Instagram (130k followers). But I'm excited to shift some focus to YouTube because I want to reach 100k subscribers here by the end of the year!

I have some good news: I finally took a few days off last week to record new long-form ASMR videos. Now I just need to edit them for you. I also found a video recorded last year that I never finished editing. It's a relaxing restaurant roleplay where I'm your doting waiter. I'll post that one first and follow up with the new videos.

Balancing everything has been tough. Making daily short videos and streaming 20+ hours a week meant long-form videos fell off my schedule. So I'm going to cut back a bit on livestreaming to free up time for YouTube videos. Hopefully this new balance works out better, both creatively and financially.

Thank you for your patience. More long ASMR videos are coming soon! ❤️

I'm back with a new Manly ASMR video (https://youtu.be/FEy8RWQ_GKE). Like the first one, this video features whispered relaxation with a manly twist.

While it’s not specifically holiday-themed, I’m sporting a festive red plaid flannel shirt. Just picture me as your dad escaping to the tool shed for a few quiet moments away from the holiday chaos. Hopefully, it brings you some relaxation and maybe even a few chuckles.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported my channel despite my erratic posting schedule. With the TikTok ban decision looming, you may be seeing a lot more of me here on YouTube in 2025. Be sure to join my mailing list so I can keep you up to date with what's going on: bit.ly/tomwhomail

I hope this video adds a little peace and quiet to your holiday season 💜

Do 'manly' people enjoy ASMR? Well, I sure hope so, because my latest video is for them—and for anyone who loves them! In Manly ASMR with Tools (https://youtu.be/WxWmQ0zcWL0), I explore the surprisingly tingly sounds of tools. You know, the kind you’d find in a toolbox... or, if you’re extra manly, a whole tool cabinet.

I wasn’t sure how well these tools would work for ASMR, but while editing, I was pleasantly surprised. Some of them actually sounded amazing. The wire stripper was pure tingles thanks to my Oktava condenser mics, which make everything sound so warm and lush.

This video is definitely tongue-in-cheek because, let’s be real, I can pull off the 'manly man' look, but it’s all a performance. I was a theater kid who avoided gym class like the plague, so any rugged vibes you’re picking up? ✨ACTING!✨ 😂

I hope you enjoy this one—more tools are on the way in a second video! Let me know what you think of this video in the comments. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/WxWmQ0zcWL0

Would you stay at an ASMR Hotel?

Imagine a hotel designed around the soothing world of ASMR—a tranquil, sensory-rich sanctuary where every detail is crafted to help you unwind. I've always thought this concept would be incredible, which is why I created the first ASMR Hotel video over two years ago. The response to that video was so positive, with so many of you loving the idea and asking for more. Well, I finally listened and posted the second ASMR Hotel video yesterday! https://youtu.be/DblElSCo-Ao

In this new video I delve deeper into what an ASMR Hotel might actually offer. Think soundproofed rooms, an ASMR media library at your fingertips, and a Quiet Mini Bar stocked with herbal-infused drinks designed to melt the stress away. Guests can also indulge in gentle Sound Bath Therapy, ASMR-inspired spa treatments, and even interactive ASMR workshops for a fully immersive experience.

I’d love to hear your thoughts—what other features would make an ASMR Hotel a dream come true? Share your ideas in the comments below, and I hope you enjoy the new video! https://youtu.be/DblElSCo-Ao

Disaster struck while recording my latest Hair Salon video! https://youtu.be/7bv91Ys_Cf8

If you follow my TikTok livestreams, you probably know Tatiana, my trusty mannequin head with "human hair" that I use for hair brushing and salon roleplays. We’ve had our fair share of mishaps before, like during a livestream when I attempted to shampoo her hair and things went horribly wrong. You can check out that first tragic moment here: www.tiktok.com/@tomwhoasmr/video/72685136540671705…

I initially bought Tatiana for my next Hair Salon video so I could use real hair instead of miming shampooing like in my first video. However, after that first incident where her hair became horribly tangled, I was hesitant to try again. Still, I gave it another shot while filming the new video. I tried to be extra careful, but after shampooing, the hair was already turning into a tangled mess. I decided to move on with the conditioner, hoping it would fix things – spoiler alert, it didn’t.

By the time I started brushing her hair, I realized things were much worse than the TikTok disaster. Her hair had turned into a tangled, matted nightmare! No amount of brushing could fix it. Channel members will soon get a video of me desperately trying (and failing) to brush out those knots 😂.

I did include some of the shampooing scenes in the final video, but I had to cut out the conditioning part – it was just too obvious how bad the tangling had gotten, and you could clearly see the horror on my face while I massaged the conditioner in. So, I mimed that part instead.

Sadly, Tatiana’s hair never recovered. I even tried to detangle it again on another livestream, going as far as using WD-40, but nothing worked. Eventually, she was sent to Turkey for a “hair transplant,” and I’m happy to say she's back to her old self now.

I hope you enjoy the new Hair Salon video! Don’t forget to leave a thumbs up 👍 and drop a comment if you liked it! https://youtu.be/7bv91Ys_Cf8

Do men have fewer ASMR roleplay videos that cater to them? From my 14+ years of watching ASMR videos, I believe so. Women dominate the ASMR space, with the most successful channels and videos typically created by women. This aligns with the general preference for female ASMR artists, as suggested by polls I've seen on Reddit and elsewhere. Consequently, most ASMR content caters to women or features feminine themes.

Personally, I enjoy feminine ASMR videos, like TingTing's hair styling roleplays and the content from the first ASMR creator I ever watched, Gentle Whispering ASMR. Maybe I can enjoy them because I'm gay and in touch with my feminine side. But it raises the question: do straight men also enjoy feminine-themed ASMR videos? If so, are they watching for the ASMR experience or for the appeal of an attractive woman?

When I started this channel nearly three years ago, my analytics showed that my audience was about 60% female and 38% male. Today, this has completely reversed, with the majority of my viewers now being male—a surprising shift! This change inspired me to create another clothing store roleplay video (https://youtu.be/chCIrBSdo0c), but this time from the perspective of a male customer, unlike my first clothing store roleplay in 2021 (https://youtu.be/Zy1x2OfpYOk).

This roleplay felt very natural for me, as my first jobs after high school were in men's clothing stores. I thoroughly enjoyed making this video and hope you enjoy it, too! 💜 https://youtu.be/chCIrBSdo0c

Let me know in the comments which male ASMR artists you watch here on YouTube, and why you like them.

I had to delete a bunch of scenes from the ASMR Café video before posting it.

Food-related ASMR videos are tricky. Many props are required, and preparing something to eat or drink makes a lot of different sounds, but not all are pleasant. What you hear with your ears while making a video can sound quite different in the audio recorded by the microphones.

On the third edit pass of my ASMR Café video (https://youtu.be/7KrQM1kCc14) I decided to remove some segments because the sounds weren't very pleasant, even after applying filters and EQ to the audio. Things like pouring coffee beans into a glass jar were jarring to my ear. I wanted the audio for this sequel to my first ASMR Café video (https://youtu.be/G5oV9iTnin4) to be more pleasant and soothing, and I think I was able to accomplish that even though I had to sacrifice some footage I really wanted in the video.

Another challenge was using a two-camera setup for the first time. I always recorded B-roll footage (for things like closeups) after I finished recording the main video. But with food prep there are some things you can only do once, like cutting into the cake. Using two cameras was the solution, but, I had a hard time not looking at the B-roll camera monitor frequently to be sure everything was framed properly. You may catch me doing that a few times in this video. 😊 But with some practice I'll get better at using a two-camera setup.

I hope you enjoy the new video! Not sure I'll make another one, unless this one does as well as the first one. And no, I didn't make any of the cakes or pastries shown in the video, I bought them from a local bakery. 😊 https://youtu.be/7KrQM1kCc14
