Some greetings from a true fisherman within our community:
"A couple of years ago I was looking for a rod to be used in smaller to medium rivers. I had heard great things about the (for me) new rod builders Nam and I ended up getting one. It was the 12’4’’ #8.
I now just call it my ‘little sling shot’ and it has taken more and more "marketshare" from my "arsenal" of salmon rods. It’s now just large spring rivers like the Gaula first week of June were I still use my 15’’ and 16’’ rods. For the rest of the season my "little sling shot" is my first choice of weapon for most rivers.
It is super light and comfortable to cast with and it handles all lines with ease from floating lines to full grain lines. It is also superior in tight situations with branches hanging over the river. It requires just a flip of the rist and the line is flying. But also when wading deep in large rivers I can cast with ease 30-35 meters with heavy lines and big flies by launching my sling shot.
It is also a great tool to fight large fresh strong salmon and I have been lucky enough to fight 5 of them so far this season.
A truly versatile rod which easily cover around 80% of my salmon fishing"
