Hi, I'm Vickie. I live off-grid on a modern 40 acre, homestead in Northern Nevada. I love making sourdough breads, cooking, making soap, canning, dehydrating, gardening, making cheese, and a lot of other things that are required living on a homestead. I love to cook from scratch, and to be prepared for whatever life throws our way. Our faith in our Heavenly Father sustains us through all trials in this life!

Prayers for all of those affected by the tornados. I have been there before, and know the uncertainty and fear.
Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and He will provide what we need. We are also told repeatedly, do not fear. If we have received Christ as our Savior, we are secure in our salvation. We have nothing to fear.

Thank you dear LORD! For over 3 weeks we have had very high 90’s to over 100 degrees every day, with night time temperatures upper 60’s at dawn to mid 70’s. We do not have air conditioning since we are off-grid. Last night we got to 65 degrees at night, and today ~ drumroll please! ~ a high of 80 degrees with a cool breeze!!! I am so very thankful!
