on a writer’s retreat last year, we locked ourselves away in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere Tennessee and decided to try creation without direction.. just pure intuitive songwriting. with all the darkness going on in the world and the rapidly changing music industry, we were burnt out, aimless, and overwhelmed.. so we thought, why not experiment? we wanted to get back to our roots and the purity of why we started making music in the first place. no deadlines, demands, or outside pressures allowed. instead of doubting and overthinking, we leaned in and explored. somewhere along the way..
