We are working within subsistence agroforestry, using these ecological design principles and methods for creating sustainable human habitats - agroforestry as a lifestyle not just as a farming or production method.
We bring you videos from our demonstration sites looking at many approaches to creating a woodland smallholding, croft, farm or homestead, including:
Integrating livestock - cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens and geese and ducks - into forested farms
Creating woodland glades for horticulture - market gardening, tree nurseries - and for grazing
Different agroforestry methods like silvopasture, alley-cropping, food forestry
Tree and plant species profiles
How to work with produce from the food forest design

Big thank you to @OlightUK for sending us this crazy bright headlamp, helping us see our way around the farm for our evening chores plus illuminating our latest stretch of brash hedge in a very cool way!
We've never had such a bright torch! We're looking forward to testing this head torch even more, but so far we can really recommend them.

Hi folks! We're really sorry there was no FARMVLOG upload on Monday - we just came out of five nights of no power after storm Arwen came crashing through Scotland. We were totally fine - stayed nice and cozy by the fire which meant we could cook, we had water because we're on our own spring, just very dark long nights and lots of snow. The storm took down a few large trees on the farm but luckily no fences down. But, it meant no video upload. We have it ready for uploading next Monday! Cheers!
