I genuinely HATE the concept of teenage boys/girls gifting eachother expensive chocolates by hiding it from their parents like bro what. Teens nowadays are so wildly influenced by trends that they do not get the depth of any love language anymore (saying ts as a 13 year old, might as well seem too grandma-like but yea 😭✌🏻).

Well, basically gifting someone isn't just about giving them anything, it's about effort, thoughtfulness and real feelings. However, by scrolling reels all day long, these teens only learnt the thing that "I like him/her, so i might as well but them something" but they NEVER think that the money they are using for the gift is not their hardwork. It's their parent's hardwork.

They are just saving their pocket money or straight up just asking their parents for money to buy stuff for their gf/bf...and the most common gift at this age? Chocolates, and sometimes flowers or pens. But the real thing is that,

If a man/woman loves somebody, he/she will work hard to earn money, spend days thinking about something unique to gift them and make them happy as ever. This is how it works. Teens can put efforts to craft something for their lovers instead.


Gifting isn't about just buying something.
Acts of service isn't about just formality.
Physical touch isn't just being in bed.
Words of affirmation isn't just limited to practiced words you've heard on the internet.

So please, before trying to impress them, try to make them happy.
