AANNNDDD...We...Are...Back!!

We're back folks! After almost a year and a half since my last upload, I have returned once again with a brand-new sneak peek trailer for my shortly abandoned audio series, 'STTF2 Audio Reads,' now renamed 'Silver Knight Audio Reads!' I've been through hell and back these past 5-7 months editing and processing this trailer, but it was worth finally getting it out at long last.

I am going on hiatus…again.


(sigh) Yeah, I know…not the best way to kickstart the new year off originally but…eh…can’t fault on my day-to-day life; you know.

Anyway, let me start with the basic gist behind all this…WORK…HAS BEEN HELL! Between late August to how things are now, I’ve been handling double shifts within my Dad’s company to earn off a little extra cash on the side to pay off some debts towards the house, groceries, payments on multiple necessities, etc. This, and a little extra Christmas shopping last year to top it all off. Despite my credibility; working part-time for an office installation company with a good amount of pay coming in every week, work ATM gives off the same feeling as being jet-lagged off a plane flight for more than 3 hours. (Not the best example when typing this whole thing up but…eh.)

Hence my recent inactivity on YT, Twitter, DeviantArt, etc.

Though it’s because of that inactivity that I’ve been delving into a couple of new creative concepts over the last few months; including the projects that I promised to work on since announcing them in my last video update back in 2020. What with my recent switch from iMovie to Final Cut Pro officially, a new camera I just bought, the possibility of a new microphone, lighting equipment, props, old and new merchandise, and plenty more to go around; it begs the question of what I might have in store for 2022 and the next years to come.



-STTF2 Audio Reads Vol. 1 - Episode 6-10 (Where are they?)
Now to those who have been interested in this little audio-based series, rest assured it hasn’t been canceled.

As far as you need to know, Episode 6 - Rusty Red Scrap Iron and Episode 7 - Whistle Trouble have been in the writing stage from Late November - Early January. These episodes will also be taken upon as a couple of memorial dedication projects; with Episode 6 as my tribute to Peter aka Crazy Caboose Creations since I never got around to working on an actual project for him upon hearing about his passing back in April, and Episode 7 as another tribute to the passing of a late relative of mine, who surprisingly also passed in April almost two weeks before Peter’s passing. (I wouldn’t make this stuff up or kid around with anyone reading this if you believe it or not.)

Coming back on topic, once the episodes have been written up and sent out to my selected cast members, we can then proceed into working on Episodes 8-10 in the next coming months. If we’re lucky.



-Behind the Scenes, Remakes, Vlogs N’ More!
So not many were aware of this at the time but back in December of 2021, my family and I had recently taken a vacation out to Walt Disney World; the first time I’ve been out there in the last 10 years since I was a kid. Since returning home, I've been longing to showcase all the footage I've recorded on my trip; which all will be featured very soon in an upcoming 3 Part Compilation which I've henced titled off as my, “Disneycember 2021 Vlog” (Not the most original title but...whatever) I haven’t decided when it’ll be released, I might push it for either April or May depending on my work schedule but trust me guys, once this three-parter gets released…you’re in for a real treat.

Now in terms of remakes, I still have a handful of Thomas remakes I wanna get started on, including but not limited to the RWS Edward’s Day Out remake featuring actual narration from Rev. W. Awdry himself; as announced back in 2020. Among these remakes, I’ve also decided to work on a couple of TUGS remakes to include into the mix. Since obtaining the rare Takara Ten Cents and Sunshine last year; I’ve taken a whole new opportunity in developing some water-based projects featuring some of the characters of TUGS and possibly, Theodore Tugboat. More on that will be revealed in a future update.

Speaking of which…



-Harbour Life (Potential 5-7 Minute Project)
With the recent spike in TUGS media last year leading into this year, it sparked up an idea I’ve been longing to get off the ground since 2015 while learning the ins and outs of video editing.

That being…a short film.

I know I'm jumping the gun with this suggestion, but this has been one of those groundbreaking projects I’ve been on and off since joining YouTube. Heck even before I came up with my first username back then, this idea stuck with me. At first, I thought of keeping this secret once I’d developed some storyboards and began filming; then, later on, planned to release a teaser trailer ahead of time. But since we’ve got a while until production officially begins, what’s the harm in knowing a few minor details in the meantime.

So first and foremost, voice acting won’t be required. I strictly want to make this a ‘sight and sound’ film, as I found this constructive method a rare yet sought-out gem in terms of filming; indicating you don’t need to have narration or dialogue to tell a story and let the characters' expressions and movements play out however you need be, much like one of my favorite short films and inspiration towards this idea, the 2012 Disney short, “Paperman.”

Secondly, as storywise goes, it’s been a hit and miss on my end, but in truth, it’s not going anywhere. Granted, I’ve had my share of writing stories and rewrites as shown from STTF2 Audio Reads, but even looking over every scenario I’d thought of previously, there just wasn’t any good story material I was pleased with; let alone piqued my interest. It wasn’t until after rewatching ‘The Unlucky Tug’s’ timeline and Sodor’s Finest videos, outlining and bringing to life some incriminating details and facts on both location and characters; it got me thinking. What if we aligned some of the best elements from all three timelines into one of the strangest yet expendable lookbacks among the fandom, centered around one of the most diligent working environments along the railway. The harbor yards. Cue the beginning stages of “Harbour Life.”

This has been one of those what if's and/or goals I’ve been meaning to tackle since December of 2021. Indeed there’s a ton of baggage with this proposed idea, but it could bring about the general controversy on how the fans; including myself, see each canon storyline as a whole from the best of both if not all worlds. In short, think of Harbour Life as a combination of elements from the RWS, Seasons 1-12, Season 17-24, with ideal visualization from the book's illustrations, and early concept art from the show and TUGS combined; among other things. I don’t have a confirmed date on when this’ll be released as I’m still in a processing stage ATM. Once I get the ball rolling, obtain more props and eventually work on a teaser trailer, then we’ll see how production goes from here. Only time will tell when I’ll get this project evidently off the ground, we’ll just have to wait and see.



And that’s pretty much all the pomp I can lay out for you all on how things have been going; time-consuming-wise. Now I can’t promise that all of what I said will happen in the next few months, but I’ll try to make an effort out of it regardless of my work schedule. I’ll still do voice acting during this hiatus, in case some were wondering; but I can only limit to just weekends or when I’m alone in the house either-or.

(sigh) 2020-21 may have been a rocky path in terms of my life online, but I’m hoping 2022 and beyond can be a change of pace for me. And with a new username to top it all off too. So, until then everyone, this is Alec aka SilverKnight925, saying here’s to the future and beyond!

I FINALLY REACHED UP TO 10K SUBSCRIBES ON YT!!


Up until yesterday, I've been longing to announce this crowning achievement, as this has been one of my highest expectations since joining YT! When I originally joined back in 2014, I had expected to get at least 1-2K subs during my time; though that all changed as time grew on.

Even now, I still got high hopes on what's to be expected as my channel expands further in the future. Not only with the support of all of you, but from the many friends I've made since then. Throughout the many collaborations, voice-overs, and the dozens of hijinx and jokes I've listened in on; I wouldn't have written this if I didn't say that my friends are the real strength behind how I've gotten this far. Despite any and all BS that we've overcome, even if we aren't related by blood...we're family. And as a family..."United we stand, together we fall! I'll help you, and you'll help me."
