The public land part: obscure sites across the American West — dinosaur tracksites with no signs, caves with 14,000-year-old human DNA, petroglyphs no one can explain, and the geology and conservation stories hiding on land you already own.
The truck part: honest, opinionated reviews of the rigs that get me out there — always with a point beyond the spec sheet.

Reworked another video in the hopes of getting more eyes on it.
Swansea, Arizona was supposed to be a copper empire — instead it went bankrupt in three years and became one of the best ghost towns in the state. New title, new thumbnail, giving it another shot.
Before they built the smelter, they shipped the ore around Cape Horn to Wales. 15,000 miles. It made about as much sense as it sounds.
Anyone explored Swansea in person? When I was there, I couldn't believe they ran infrastructure out there.

When I first posted the Death Valley Salt Tram video, it kind of got buried — and it's honestly one of my favorite stories I've told. New title, new thumbnail, second shot at it.
It was the steepest aerial tramway ever built in America. It worked perfectly and still bankrupted four companies.
Anyone been out to see it? I nearly destroyed my truck getting to it.
