Today is world mental health day, and I wanted to take a moment to remind you that no matter how dark things get, no matter how much you're struggling, no matter how tough your life gets....there is a solution.
You might feel like there's no way out...you might feel like you're putting on a good show externally but internally you're just fighting to keep it together. Like a swan swimming on a lake....graceful and calm above water but underneath you're paddling like mad.
You might feel like the world is going to shit, and nobody cares about anybody anymore. You might feel stressed and anxious and powerless over issues that are facing the world. You might feel responsible when it is not your fault. You might feel hopeless.
I get it. I've been to dark places...incredibly dark. Darker than most. But I can also tell you that through working to improve your mind, body, and spirit you can get better.
If you can believe that the universe doesn't give you more than you can handle, then your burden will be endurable. It's a hard belief to have sometimes....but I can tell you that you are loved, and you are powerful, and you can handle what is in front of you.
When the world gets dark, try to shine a little brighter yourself.
Take care of your mind, body and spirit. Learn something new, exercise, practice gratitude. There are a lot of simple things you can do to improve your well being, and I encourage you to take some small step to better yourself when you're struggling. I know it can be hard, but a little progress goes a long way.
And also, don't suffer in silence. Find someone safe to open up to and talk about your problems with. When we talk about problems the problems often seem to stop hurting as much.
I love you, and I appreciate you supporting me and my magical journey.
I hope our paths cross and we can share some magic sometime soon.
The gasps, screams, and laughter of astonishment are why I do what I do.
It’s not about applause, or recognition, or money.
It's about giving you that unique feeling that only magic can provide.
That feeling of astonishment. Where your brain cannot make sense of what you just saw. The feeling that you just experienced a miracle. That you were part of a miracle.
There’s nothing like that feeling. And it's my honour to give it to you.

I live for the gasps.
