Hello everyone! I have a question. Are you here for Elder Scrolls or Fallout?

I’m definitely a big fan of the Fallout series, and plan to cover future games, along with make some larger videos on the old ones. (Primarily Easter egg videos from New Vegas and FO3 DLCs).

But - uploading 90 or so Fallout 4 guides from literally a decade ago feels kinda not what this channel is anymore, and those videos feel pretty antiquated / irrelevant. It will also take about 30 days of straight 3 videos a day to do that.

I really don’t want to put weeks of effort into re-uploading all those videos if they aren’t something most of you want. They won’t get views and you won’t get the content you want.

I’m undoubtably much more into the elder scrolls series, make way more elder scrolls content and I think most of you guys are on the same page as me. Especially considering a new Fallout game is… what a decade away? I’m torn whether to upload them all, but my gut says no.

So what’s your say? Are you here for Elder Scrolls or Fallout?

Hello everyone! We have finally unlocked the community tab.

Update on what's going on, how you can help etc etc. I'll try and keep this update as brief as I can, otherwise I'll end up typing a 200,000 word thank you letter. (not far off actually)

1. Thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart. Losing access to my original channel was and still is devastating. I thought a realistic goal on this new channel for the end of year would be 10,000 subscribers, but in just a matter of days you have all blown that out of the water! I am humbled and stunned by the amount of support. I really can not thank you enough. You, yes I'm talking to you!

2. I'm still going back and forth with YouTube partner support in regards to my old channel, but there is only so many times I can have them say "Sorry we can't help. Thanks for understanding". It's starting to feel like I'm in some dystopian loop of denial. Like a death on repeat. Sometimes you gotta just take the loss with as much grace as you can. I'm ready to move forward.

3. This channel is now monetized. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's the first big step. As you probably know YouTube has been my full time job and sole source of income for over 10 years. Losing that overnight 2 months after buying my own apartment (mortgage) was, and frankly, still is heartbreaking. However, thanks to you I now have some income. It will take many months, or perhaps even years to regain what was lost. So far however, you have sped up the first painful steps of this whole process by watching all the videos I upload, even if you've seen them before. You're so kind and I can't thank you enough.

4. I Think I am going to move my re-upload schedule to 2-3 videos a day. I really don't want to completely swamp everyone with too much stuff all at once, but I also would like to have my entire collection live and ready to be viewed before I start uploading NEW content. So the sooner everything gets up the sooner we can move forward. Once all of my original content has been re-uploaded I'll probably make a short video marking the line in the sand, welcoming in a new age.

5. I will not be re-uploading absolutely every video I ever made. There is a lot of videos that simply have no relevance anymore. News videos from years ago, pre-release hands on footage for games that came out 6 years ago now, old ESO beta videos from 2014, Starfield speculation videos, trailer breakdowns etc etc. Videos that are now literally irrelevant.

6. There are a handful of classic videos I am going to remake. Morrowind's Easter Eggs, Oblivion's Easter Eggs, Dragonborn's Easter Eggs, Whiterun CCC, The Reach CCC, Hjaalmarch CCC, The Pale CCC, Haafingar CCC... Maybe some others I can't remember off the top of my head. I won't be re-uploading the originals as they are not up to modern Camelworks standards. They are products of their time. Unscripted, janky ass 20fps 720p, no console commands, low res, low bit rate, awful compression and artifacting. Honestly they are kind of hard to watch. I think they deserve the love, attention and modernization that will accurately displays their majesty. Consider these videos remasters. New better scripts (and by that I mean they will actually HAVE a script), 4k everything, cinematography, actual editing, etc etc. Same ring, we're just upgrading from glass stones to the real deal diamonds.

7. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Please do not feel obliged by ANYTHING I ask. But if you are willing your support literally means everything. Please continue watching everything I upload, even if it's just playing in the background like a podcast, or to help you sleep. Every little thing helps so much.

If you're watching a video I re-upload and you hear me say "I have a video on that, you can check it out in the link above" or something along those lines - Please please please leave a comment with a timestamp and the name of what ever I am referencing. These are called "cards" on YouTube. Each video can contain 5. For the links to pop up in the video I have to manually go into the metadata of each video on YouTube and place the specific link at the specific time for it to pop up at the top of the video. Normally before exporting a video I watch it back in Premier Pro, check for errors and write down all the timestamps for the video chapters along with timestamps for the cards to go into video. This is very easy when you are doing it for 1 video. However for me to know where to put all the cards in 100s of re-uploads, I literally have to watch each video again all the way through. I have been trying to do this, but It's time I'd much prefer to use doing just about anything else to get this channel up and running. So if you are watching a video and hear me call out a link above, or reference another video of mine, please leave a comment with the timestamps. Collectively you could save me hundreds, if not thousands of hours. Again please don't feel pressured or obliged, but if you're in a position to help out with that and it's no bother, holy moley it would be a life saver.

8. Yes I still have access to my Merch Store. I will still receive all profits from your purchases, which are GREATLY APPRECIATED. The Merch Store is linked to my now disabled gmail. So while I can log in, I can never do anything that requires an email confirmation. And just like everything else, the only way to change the connected email is by confirming the change via the old / disabled / inaccessible gmail. So I will likely make a new merch store in time. But for now yes any purchase you make is still going to me and is super appreciated.

9. While I really appreciate the thought, I will not be accepting large donations. If you want to leave a super thanks on YouTube that's awesome and up to you. Knowing with your help we can get this channel to a point where I can have a normal income again via ad revenue / premium views, I really don't feel comfortable accepting donations, fund raising, etc etc. While the thought is super sweet, we're all out here having a rough time, you need and deserve your money more than I do. The best way to support me in this dire time is the same way you always have. Sit back relax and watch some of my videos.

10. I will likely have to make a new Discord Account. I am really really really hoping there is some way I can transfer ownership of the Camelworks Discord channel to Shoppung, who can then pass ownership to my new account. Again, to change my linked email on Discord I have to confirm this via the old email - which of course now does not exist. So to to do anything that requires an email confirmation for the Discord Channel - well we're fucked it can't be done. So a new Discord Account / New Channel will likely need to happen at some point.


11. My brand / business is Camelworks. While this channel is called Camelworks NEW, consider this a restaurant moving venue or something. The NEW part is just so people know where to be to get NEW content. If my other channel is ever taken down I'll drop the NEW part and we'll be all settled into our new home, right here. Google can't tell me if my original channel will ever be taken down, which makes planning around it impossible. Seriously no one knows anything about anything, other than they can't help me. It's amazing.

12. I keep saying I'll do my best to get back to everyone, but I feel like I'm failing on that front. I suppose it's a good thing that you're so supportive that there are too many messages and comments to respond to. Rest assured, if I'm not responding it means I'm working my ass off to get this channel as strong as I can get it. Apologies if it feels like radio silence, I need 24 more hours in each day to keep up.
