Hi, I am Shel C and this is a channel about my artistic adventures in various types of mixed media art and collage. I create videos showing how I make art out of paper, paint and other media. I feature mostly mixed media and collage processes but frequently dabble in other techniques and ideas. I love color and texture and experimentation! I take inspiration from my natural surroundings in Arizona USA. I also get inspired by other artists I interact with in social media.There is so much great art being shared all over the internet! I LOVE to collaborate with other artists...ask me if you want to do something!
I am co-owner of a art community on Facebook called ART Joy of Sharing where we offer monthly challenges and themes. We also have a supporting livestreaming channel called ART joy of Sharing LIVEstream where we do live art every Thursday.
I often serve on various companies creative teams and also review art related products from companies.

Hello All,
I just wanted to give you another update.
My Best Person passed away on May 20th.
My family and myself are all really sad. It was expected but can't really be prepared for, no matter how much you try.
I am currently doing all the bureaucracy it takes following a death. So many signatures and documents and hoops to jump through...just to get benefits my family is owed and have paid for. UGH! So I am in the stage of hurry hurry hurry, keep busy, finish the tasks. My studio is still being used as a bedroom for the near future. But, I will be back when I feel OK to try some art therapy! <3 Shel

Hello Friends <3 I am sorry to still be away from art, videos and my channel. Things are still really really hard for me and my family. I am caretaking my best person who is at the end of his life. Trying to get all the stuff done that is required. My Mother has returned home after much time in hospital, rehab and skilled nursing. So that makes 2 and then we can't exclude my FIL who is 94 and living here as well. Lots of driving people to various doctoring things. Lots of planning and paperwork. Lots of cooking and pill sorting. Bathing and dressing. And, my kid is visiting indefinitely and is currently living in my studio. I will be back one day...but I can't say when. Love all the kind comments people have been leaving <3 Spring has arrived in the desert and all the cactus have been blooming...so no more cold temperatures :)

Best of the Holidays to everyone! I wish I could be here to make fun arts and crafts of the Winter season with you. However, things have went even more off the rails for me. In addition to my best person getting sicker and sicker. My 80+ Mom had a bad car accident and has just gotten out of ICU. Incidentally she also got a bad disease diagnosis during exploratory surgery for internal bleeding. I know if I read this from someone else I would wonder if it was really true? How could all these bits of chaos come together in one families life? Sadly, it is all true and I am surviving from day to day...keeping on task for all the care taking. But no time for me or my art or my channel and social media. If you have a faith community of any type, we would wish to be lifted into the light in whichever you do that. Thank you for all your year's of support! I will return one day with more art! Be very safe and careful with all that unusual cold weather out there!

Cool! While I have been distracted with all the sad and bad things... this channel got to 22K subscribers! There is LOTS to see here of course. Over 5k individual videos. Thanks to those who have recently subscribed. A quick update. Still hanging out at the hospital, but my best person may come home on Sunday or Monday if nothing changes. They are weaning him off of IV food and he is doing his best to eat some low fiber/low residue food now. Losing a pound a day but hopefully he will start to recover some of that (wish I could lose a pound a day but I have LOTS of extra and he doesn't) Next challenge is the cancer treatment...if he can have it without a large intestine. Meanwhile I drive by the green hills each day and imagine they look a bit like Scottish moors... in Tucson!

Hello My Friends,
I am sure all of you who follow me closely have wondered where the heck my videos are. I have been unable to make any art recently. A medical emergency 11 days ago had me returning quickly to my home from the little vacation to the coast I was taking. Since then, I have been existing by hospital bedside alternated with opening my home to family, and getting tiny bits of rest in between. This situation happening to my very best person will ultimately end sadly. No one can say how long that will be be from now. But, until then we all want to do as many happy things as possible. So with that in mind, I really do not have ANY idea how my channel will progress for now. I still WANT to do art and videos as it makes me happy. But at the moment I have zero time or energy to do so. So keep us in your thoughts and keep watching here as we go through this very hard time. I will be back when I can be back.
