Wood finishing - wow, it's a big topic and there's a lot to learn. And that's why we have this video channel. Most often our videos are on wood finishing tips and tricks specific to a type of wood. Hopefully you'll find them useful and informative for helping you get the best finish you possibly can in your woodworking projects.
We're a retailer of hardwood lumber like cherry, red oak, walnut and all your favorite exotics like purple heart, zebrawood and about 90 others. So sometimes our videos incorporate some relevant information about how to work with certain lesser-known woods to help you in your woodworking endeavors.

We're working on a guide to finishing white oak right now. We get a lot of questions about how to finish white oak without darkening the wood too much, around 20 test finishes later, I think we have our best recommendation coming soon.

One of our suppliers was shocked to see how little prefinished plywood we go through and I couldn't help but wonder why? Cabinet shops go through truckloads of prefinished birch. Long story short, I thought I'd upload a quick intro video on why I use it. I'm curious if you have a good reason NOT to use it?

It was such a pleasure to build this patio table, and we really love how it came out! We're going to share a different kind of video (for us anyway) on Sunday morning June 12, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT. You're gonna get a longer step-by-step of how we (Mark and Corey) worked through how to build it and how we dealt with the challenges of the design. It's just us chilling out in the shop watching and commenting on an extended version of the build process.
