BOLIS PUPUL announces debut solo album LETTER TO YU, coming out March 4th 2024.
First single COMPLETELY HALF out now, alongside a music video shot in Hong Kong by Boris and Bieke Depoorter of Magnum Photos.
Boris writes: "It’s been a long journey that started in 2018 when I visited Hong Kong for the first time. Although I had never been to HK, some things felt familiar. This was the place where my late mother was born, and I felt very sad being there without her. At the same time, I felt her presence very close to me.
On the first day I arrived in the city, I visited the street where she was born and wrote her a letter. This letter became the centerpiece of my record. 'Letter To Yu' is a homage to my mother, my grandparents, and Hong Kong.
Special thanks to Stephen and David Dewaele for supporting me and being with me along this journey, guiding me on this very special album”
