Greetings, Beloved!

❤️❤️❤️

JESUS IS LORD!

This is the first SkillMidThoughts of this year, and the Spirit is setting our tone clearly.

When God wants to make a man powerful, He doesn’t crown him first; He works deeply in him.

The Kingdom does not celebrate shortcuts. God builds men before He builds platforms. He forms hearts before He releases authority. What feels like breaking is not punishment, it is preparation. What looks like delay is not denial, it is design.

If this year has begun with pressure, stretching, pruning, or hiddenness, rejoice. God is not wasting your season. He is strengthening your roots so you can carry His glory without collapsing under it. Promotion without preparation destroys, but preparation produces endurance, wisdom, and lasting impact.

This year is not about rushing into visibility. It is about yielding to transformation. Let God finish His work in you so that when He lifts you, you will not fall back down.

📖 Reflect on this:
“Before honor is humility.” — Proverbs 15:33
“He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.” — Philippians 1:6

Say this prayer sincerely:
Lord, I surrender to Your process this year. Shape my character, refine my motives, and align my heart with Your will. I choose transformation over titles, depth over display, and obedience over applause. Prepare me for the future You have ordained. Amen.

Yet to Submit to Jesus?
Friend, this journey begins with Christ. Real strength flows from surrender. Give Him your life and receive a new heart today.

Pray this:
Lord Jesus, I believe You died and rose again for me. I surrender my life to You. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. Lead me into Your purpose. Amen.

Today, I pause to give thanks.

I am celebrating 11,688 days on this earth days sustained, protected, and redeemed by Jesus Christ. Every single one of them existed because of His mercy, not my strength. Not one day came by chance, and not one was wasted.

The Bible says,
“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

As I look back, I see God’s hand in everything. In the seasons of joy, in the seasons that stretched me, in the open doors and the closed ones, in the delays that protected me, and the instructions that shaped me. Every step, every moment, every lesson,

He used it all.

I am grateful to my biological parents for giving me life and raising me with love and values that carried me this far. To my spiritual parents, for their guidance, prayers, and wisdom that have anchored me in God’s ways. To my mentors, who poured into my life with insight and encouragement that helped shape my journey.

To my family and friends, thank you for your love, support, prayers, and presence. Some of you stood with me in obvious ways, others quietly behind the scenes but every one of you has played a part in bringing me here, and I am grateful.

Today, I celebrate these days with a heart full of trust. If Jesus has brought me this far, He will take me further. If He has sustained me, He will continue to do more. My future, my purpose, my calling, and my life are in His hands, and I choose to walk forward in faith and confidence.

Lord Jesus, teach me to number my days with wisdom. Help me live fully, love deeply, serve faithfully, and glorify You in everything I do.

Thank You, Jesus, for life.
Thank You for love.
Thank You for faithfulness.

I step into the days ahead with gratitude, hope, and trust.

Amen.

Provoking An Encounter
Released Sunday 4th Jan 2026

Text: “And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.” — 1 Kings 3:4 (KJV)

When we read the Bible, it is easy to glaze over numbers. We read "a thousand burnt offerings" and we move on to the next verse where God appears to Solomon in a dream. But to truly understand the weight of what happened at Gibeon, and why it provoked such a terrifyingly glorious response from Heaven, we must pause and consider the sheer mechanics of the sacrifice.

The Logistics of a Thousand Bulls
Have you ever stopped to calculate the labor, the time, and the grit required to offer one thousand bulls? This was not a 30-minute church service. This was a crimson river of devotion.

According to Levitical law, a burnt offering was not just killing an animal. It involved slaughtering the bull, skinning it, cutting it into pieces, washing the entrails and legs with water, arranging the wood, and burning the entire animal until it was consumed to ash.

Let us look at the practical reality:

The Time: If an efficient team of priests took 30 to 45 minutes to process a single bull (from slaughter to placing on the fire), killing 1,000 bulls is an astronomical task. Even if Solomon employed 100 priests working simultaneously, dealing with 10 huge bulls each, the process would likely have spanned days.

The Physicality: We are talking about the slaughter of 1,000 large animals. Imagine the gallons of blood. Imagine the mountain of wood required to burn 1,000 carcasses completely. The smell of burning flesh would have saturated the air for miles. The smoke would have darkened the sky over Gibeon.

The Exhaustion: The priests would have been drenched in sweat and blood. It was gruesome, tiring, back-breaking work.

Solomon did not just give "something." He stopped the economy of his day. He arrested the attention of the physical realm. He created an atmosphere so charged with surrender that Heaven had no choice but to respond. He didn't just knock on Heaven's door; he battered it down with the smoke of his sacrifice.

The Message for the New Year

As we step into this New Year, many are looking for the hand of God to move. We want the wisdom of Solomon and the wealth of the Kingdom. But are we willing to visit our own Gibeon?

Solomon understood a principle: You cannot provoke extraordinary power with ordinary commitment.

If you want the manifest power of God in your life this year, it will cost you. It might not be the blood of bulls, but it will be the "living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1).

It is the sacrifice of Time: spending hours in the secret place when your flesh wants to sleep.

It is the sacrifice of Ego: killing the "bull" of pride to serve others.

It is the sacrifice of Comfort: doing the hard work of ministry and love when it is inconvenient.

God is waiting for an offering that costs you something. He is looking for a believer who will stay on the altar until the fire falls.

The Ultimate Sacrifice
Yet, as massive as Solomon’s offering was, it pales in comparison to the offering God gave for us. Solomon gave 1,000 cattle; God gave His only begotten Son.

Solomon’s sacrifice covered sins temporarily; Jesus’ sacrifice washed them away eternally. The blood of bulls at Gibeon provoked a visitation for a king; the blood of Jesus at Calvary provoked salvation for the whole world.

If you have not yet accepted this free gift, realized that the heavy lifting has already been done. Jesus was the bull, the lamb, and the scapegoat. He was slaughtered, not on a stone altar in Gibeon, but on a wooden cross in Calvary, so that you might have access to the Holy of Holies.

Do not let this New Year pass without surrendering to the One who surrendered everything for you.

A Prayer for You

Father, I thank You for the example of Solomon, who knew how to touch Your heart through sacrificial giving. But more importantly, I thank You for Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice.

Lord, in this New Year, I refuse to give You that which costs me nothing. I lay my time, my talents, and my heart on the altar. Give me the grace to endure the labor of the Kingdom. Let my life be a sweet-smelling savor unto You. Let the smoke of my worship provoke Your power, Your direction, and Your wisdom in my life.

I step into this year not with empty hands, but with a surrendered heart.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Your brother,
