Die "Deutsche Woche" kommt. In dieser Woche findest du 5 Songs in Deutsch, welche die ursprüngliche Idee zu Fizzle die Bardin als Charakter eingeleitet hat.
Im Jahr 2024 leitete ich eine D&D-Kampagne als Spielleiter. Sie spielte in und um die Stadt Athkatla in einer eigenen Zeitlinie.
Die Spielercharaktere kamen in die Stadt, um ein besonderes Ereignis mitzuerleben, das nur alle paar Jahre stattfindet: den "Krieg der Barden". Ein musikalisches Festival, bei dem Barden aus der gesamten Schwertküste zusammenkommen, um in Gesang, Tanz, Geschichtenerzählen und anderen künstlerischen Darbietungen aufzutreten.
Im Hintergrund - lange vor dem Festival selbst - bereitete ein Kult ein finsteres Ritual vor, um einen Blutdämon in die sterbliche Welt zu bringen. Das Chaos und die hohe Aktivität während des Festivals sollten genutzt werden, um das finale Ritual durchzuführen.
Während des Festivals und der sich entwickelnden Ereignisse gewannen die Spielercharaktere Ruhm und Vertrauen innerhalb der Stadt. In dieser Zeit trat Fizzle mehrfach als NSC auf. Für die Spieler wirkte sie wie eine weitere (chaotische) Bardin, die während des Festivals auftrat. In Wirklichkeit war sie jedoch eine Halbgöttin die nur zum Spaß auf der materiellen Ebene unterwegs war, und versuchte die Spieler als Champions gegen den Kult zu lenken. Teile ihrer Lieder trieben die Handlung und den Hintergrund der Geschichte subtil voran, wann immer sie auftauchte.
Ein weiterer bedeutender NSC in der Geschichte war Kilian, der Champion der Arena in der Stadt. Anfangs ein möglicher Gegenspieler, freundeten sich die Spieler schließlich mit ihm an, und er wurde zu einem Verbündeten im Hintergrund während des Finales des Abenteuers.

German song week is coming. This week you'll find 5 songs in German, which actually started the whole idea of Fizzle The Bard as character.
In 2024 I ran a D&D campaign as Dungeon Master. It took place in and around the city of Athkatla in a custom timeline.
The player characters entered the city to see a special event that takes place only every few years, the "War of the Bards". A sort of musical festival where bards come from all over the Sword Coast to perform in song, dance, storytelling and other artistic acts. In the background and long before the festival itself a cult prepared a dark ritual to bring a blood demon into the mortal realm, causing chaos and the high activity during the festival to perform the final ritual.
While the festival took place and events happened, the player characters gaining fame and trust within the city, Fizzle appeared as NPC to the players on several occasions. To the players she appeared as just another (chaotic) bard performing during the festival, while in reality she's been a demigod in disguise trying to steer the players as champions against the cult. Part of her songs pushed the storyline and the background of it a bit forward as she popped up on occasion.
Another big NPC within the story was Kilian, the champion of the arena within the city. A possible antagonist at first, the players did befriend him and had him as ally in the background within the city during the end of the adventure.
While the songs are in German, they all have optional English subtitles on YouTube.
