An absolutely massive album by Mr. @thejohnb Released in 2004 on his own Beta Recordings, In:Transit is as varied and unique as it is quintessential John B. With it's raunchy synthwave inspired opener Take Me Home, to the hands in the air Trance and Bass journeys of Mercury Skies, to the down right dirty stompers of Vampire Eyes, In:Transit shows off a wide of influences while keeping John's instantly recognizable and distinctive style. The album is littered with everything John B. Massive resampled Reese basses, constant breakbeat switchups, trance synths, and of course his signature vocals. While sticking to the dirtier side of Drum and Bass, In:Transit still has bits and pieces of many styles that should appeal to a wide audience. The production and sound quality is excellent and can easily go toe to toe with any new age DNB and still feel current.
Released in 1997 and it shows. Torque is a lesson in late 90s dark drum and bass when synths were getting twisted, the Tighten Up break was thrown in everywhere, and everything possible was soaked in reverb. Some tracks may not live up to today's standards with their overall length and repetitive nature but Torque is still an amazingly ground breaking album that perfectly captures how the sound was changing at the end of the century. For me, the stand or track has to be Proton. An Amen Reese stomper that was clearly the groundwork for Locust and it's monumental remix Cutslo.

An absolute masterpiece through and through. From the retro aesthetic to the track list, Hospital's Future Sound of Cambridge is without a doubt not only one of the best "liquid" albums but the best release on Hospital. Each track is is distinctly unique while still representing the overall subs Hospital is known for. While Together is a top contender my go-to is always Millie's Theme.
