My New Choir — The Legacy Singers (TLS)

The Legacy Singers — our “Seasoned Saints” choir for ages 45+ — will have our first gathering/rehearsal on Saturday, March 7th at 12PM.

If you’re 45 or older and still feel there is more in you to give, I would love for you to join TLS.

This is a space for those who may have placed their gifts on the shelf — but now have a platform to use them again for the glory of God.

🚨Song of the Day🚨

My Soul Says Yes Lord!

In creating this song list, I knew I had to pull from one of the greatest choirs that came before SOV and that is the trailblazers from Brooklyn, NY Danny Eason & Abundant Life.

Let me tell you a little about them… they were THE choir in Brooklyn. Their songs, their energy, and their overall impact were out of this world.

They recorded this song over 25 years ago featuring the late Craig Wiggins, and it still works today! The masterful musician and songwriter Professor Charles Minor penned this song, and it still works today.

Because of that, I knew I had to have SOV’s driving force @carlton.ellen have his moment on this album. After hearing “Have Your Way Lord” and “I Believe God”, I knew this type of song would be a perfect fit for him. So I added that last drive “My Soul Says Yes” and let him ride all the way to level 100.

The musicians, the choir, the energy, and the anointing all colliding at the same time created pure praise pandemonium… and it became the perfect way to end this record.

Song of the Day — “Oh How He Loves You and Me”

As we prepare for worship today, this is a song that ministers to me every time I hear and sing it.

When you really begin to think about the love of Christ and the sacrifice He made, you have to ask the question what more could He give?

He gave His life… He gave His blood… He gave His love without condition.

SOV slows it down with a ballad that reaches the heart and soul of every listener. This a reminder that before the shout, before the praise break, before the celebration… there was a cross.

Let this be your posture today with gratitude, reflection, and worship.

Great God is a fun song from beginning to end. The drive and the key changes build until before you know it you’re singing Great God, rocking with your neighbor, fanning yourself, or laid out on the floor 😂

He’ll Make It Better” was one of the songs that really introduced so many people to SOV online.

If you remember, years ago I would go live during our weekly rehearsals and that’s how listeners everywhere became familiar with the new material as I taught it in real time. You literally heard the songs grow before the recording ever dropped.

This smooth ballad brings peace and assurance, reminding you that no matter what you’re facing… everything is going to be alright.
