A few weeks have passed since the fire that destroyed our home in Mexico, and Jimmy and I are still slowly putting the pieces of life back together.

I just want to pause and say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported us. Some of you donated to our GoFundMe, some purchased cookbooks, some sent items from our Amazon Wishlist, and many of you simply left the most loving messages.

Every single act of kindness has meant the world to us. Truly.

After everything that happened with the fire, we are so grateful that Blu made it through everything safely with us.

The last couple of weeks have been emotional, but we are slowly settling into our new place and trying to rebuild our lives.

Our temporary new kitchen space.

After losing our home in the fire, we are starting over from scratch and slowly rebuilding the everyday things we use in our lives.

Even basic kitchen items like cookware, utensils, towels, and pantry staples are things we have to replace.

Jimmy and I are still processing everything, but we are incredibly grateful for the kindness we've received.

It has now been one week since the attack that destroyed our apartment in Mexico.

We are safe and back in the United States, but we are starting completely over. We left with only what we could carry. Everything else is gone.

Many of you have asked how you can help us rebuild. If you feel led, there are two simple ways:

Many of you have reached out asking how you can help after we lost our apartment during the unrest here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

To be honest, creating a GoFundMe wasn’t even on my mind. I’ve been overwhelmed and just trying to process everything. But after receiving so many messages from you asking for a way to support us, I decided to set one up.

We escaped safely with Jimmy and Blu, but we lost everything in the fire. After much thought, we’ve made the decision to temporarily relocate back to the U.S. so we can rebuild and focus on stability.
