My thoughts on the ‪@Ocleg‬ situation:

I’ve risen from the dead to say something on this situation because as someone who’s been in this community for a while now, I don’t like seeing shit like this.

I’m not going to attack Ocleg at all. Personally, I don’t think he’s done much wrong (except for the Iran video, that’s a bit dodgy).

In this community, we help each other. We borrow concepts, we add to each other’s lore. We all do it. ‪@WarningWaveEAS‬ and ‪@EAS_TV665‬ have done it themselves (Crisis Broadcast Mode has been around for ages and the Teletext service idea was Harvester’s). However, how come when Ocleg does it, he’s condemned as a thief and commanded to delete his video?

I’ve had people use my ideas and concepts in their videos before. I’ve had people remaster my videos themselves (‪@spacecowboycantthinkofahandle‬ I miss you). I don’t give a shit. I don’t legally own those ideas, and it’s nice to see that people appreciate my content to the point that they’re inspired by it. Credit is nice, but I’d never demand it.

So why is Ocleg disliked? Because he’s bigger. It’s jealousy, whether you like it or not. ‪@WarningWaveEAS‬ , ‪@EAS_TV665‬ you have manufactured this “drama” yourselves because you view Ocleg as a threat and not a friend. But why? You can co-exist. He doesn’t see you as beneath him or act entitled. He clearly watches your content and enjoys it so why complain?

All three of you are very talented and should work off each other rather than butting heads because someone used the words “National Service” or “Crisis Broadcast Mode”.
