Did you ever notice how most people teaching music marketing online aren't actually music artists themselves? My name is Andrew Southworth and i'm an actual music artist. releasing music through several projects. On this channel I share all of the music marketing strategies that I use to promote my own music.
I've driven over 10 million streams on my own music and over 400 million streams on my client's music on Spotify alone. Thousands of students are in my courses and i've worked with thousands of artists and labels 1-on-1 as a consultant. I've worked with teams and artists on all 3 major labels, plus many large indie labels.
From using Facebook ads to promote your music on Spotify, to YouTube ads to market your next music video, to how to get streams organically or how to grow your mailing list and sell merch - I talk about it all on this channel.
If that sounds like it's for you, subscribe and ring that bell to join me on the journey.

Do you use Content ID to claim royalties on YouTube and/or other platforms like IG/FB?
In case you haven't heard of it, Content ID is what's used to collect royalties if someone uses your song in a YouTube video or on social media sites. It automatically detects when your audio file is used.

Music artists have been asking me more about Bandcamp lately, so i'm wondering how YOU have performed on the platform.

Look at these awesome music Facebook / Instagram ad campaigns I launched this month. Not only did this artist's first Spotify / streaming growth campaign hit $0.15 per conversion, their second one hit $0.17 per conversion (using a different song from their other band). This is with a brand new ad account and Meta pixel.
On top of that, we're running a CD / Vinyl sales funnel campaign that's off to a great start. It has a ROAS of 0.83 (so it's currently losing money) but this will only improve as we keep optimizing the campaign. I expect this to be profitable over time.
Here's a cool stat:
On the sales page we have a bump offer that's asks "Do you want to pay $5 more to support the artist?". They don't get anything in return for this, it's basically a tip. Over 30% of fans chose to pay $5 more because they want to support the artist. This is a beautiful thing about selling physical music - these fans go out of their way to compensate artists they enjoy for their work in a world where all music is free online.
