A broke stagehand talking about movies, tv shows, and the culture around why things rise and fall in the entertainment industry. As well as entertainment controversies that happened over the years.
We all know the next video. The whole NPR and PBS is being affected greatly. NJTV will shut down by 2026. It's important to know what will happen 3 years from now.
For those wondering where the Sesame Workshop video is. Still script writing and I went down the absolute rabbit hole of the company. There's just so much that can't be overlooked. I want this video to be watched for years to come. And for those after me who might make videos similar to mine point out what I missed.
So I might have misspoken on Nelvana. And I'm welcome to being wrong. But what I wasn't wrong on is the amount of debt they were in. And like I said before it's not a big suprise at this time in life that Nelvana was like this. So its halted which ultimately means that likely it will be either absorbed or disbanded soon enough. I thank one of my viewers for pointing this out.
I keep hearing the news. And the algorithm is going heavy on my Nelvana video. RIP. This was nothing new to me because they almost shut down back in the 80s because of a movie they produced. And then bounced back heavy. But because of Corus and what's going on financially. I dont think Nelvana was gonna make it. In the future I'll go over the monopoly of Corus.
So Sesame Workshop just got exponentially more longer. Not skipping a beat on it. Mainly because I believe now more than ever as we are losing The Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Its important to highlight exactly how this effects future generations. Some will say " That's why we have Max and Netflix for." But at the same time aren't understanding that it's not just keeping it there. It's understanding the generations to come. Sesame Street much like long running shows kept up with many generations. Not only that I was in a store the other day and I saw this kid on a tablet not watching Sesame Street but some brain rot on YouTube. Now some people can say what you will but be real. IF you were a parent or even a guardian. You sure you ok with a kid watching what YouTube or even worse has to offer as a alternative?

Comment of the day: All you talk about is nostalgia and how companies fall. You never say one good thing about companies grow up.
Me: I don't destroy companies for fun. They do that themselves.
