Exploring, Learning, and Choas!

Hey, I'm Jonathan. Welcome to Keep Making, this channel is where I mess around, test stuff out, learn stuff, and then share it all with you. Whether it's 3D printing, 3D design, a bit of painting, a new bit of tech and anything in between.

I'll also be sharing some day-to-day thoughts, everyday user no-nonsense reviews, and even some of the nitty-gritty details of my projects you can see on my other channel "Maker Tales". So it’s all about exploring, learning, sharing, and having a bit of fun in the hopes of inspiring others. I look forward to seeing you around and Keep Making!

So… It’s been a little while (well actually it’s been FIVE months 😅).

But just because you haven’t heard from me doesn’t mean that I haven’t been relentlessly working on improving the Multiboard system.

In fact, there’s so much going on that I can’t stay silent anymore.

So today I posted a video showing you what I’ve been working on and what’s coming out in the next few weeks.

This includes a new interactive parts-library, new parts, simplified designs, and MUCH more…

Hang tight… We’re fixing all the little issues

Hey Makers, we know everything isn't perfect right now – some parts are missing, and a few website pages are still under construction.

We sort of screwed up by sharing the launch video before everything was 100% organized (that’s the risk of setting a deadline).

But anyway, here’s our action plan for the next two weeks of chaos:

- Add missing parts from the Starter Pack Pages (already done).
- Upload the random missing parts in the parts library.
- Build out the Supporter Section (early access parts, pre-made packs, generators, etc.).
- Upload Multibin Insert Accessories and Label Holders.
- Add old parts to the Legacy Listing.
- Upload Remixing Kits.
- Publish a change log for the parts that have been updated.

Other things to expect:

- Q&A Livestream on Youtube on Wednesday 4th, 6pm to 8pm GMT.
- Lots of little deep dive videos and pre-made pack videos.

You can always see what we’re currently working on by checking the roadmap: www.multiboard.io/roadmap

Multipoint is HERE!! - Start Printing Now

The most STUPIDLY modular storage system in existence is finally HERE! 💥

From magnetic bins, to crazy modular drawers, sliding shelves and so much more – this update brings it ALL.

So if you want to organize almost anything, anywhere…

Watch this video to discover everything new in the Multipoint Update 👉 https://youtu.be/zCa1xiqe8FM*

It’s great to have all of these designs out that I’ve been working on since before Multiboard was released.

And I'm not going to lie, it was hard to keep my mouth shut when I started seeing remixes of designs I was already working on.

But a huge shout out to them anyway: David D. (Muticonnect and all his accessories), Trusted Developments (Bin Dividers), Andrew Hersee (Labels), Peter Krzyzek (Flat Base Plate Shelf), lennilenn74 (Multigrid Bin Drawers), Ralusek (ButterLock Snap).

Also, an honorable mention to Stella, our Multiboard Design Assistant, for her incredible hard work and for letting me remix her “Sy's Peglock” system.

P.S. There’s a full change log coming soon. In a nutshell, bin bottoms have changed, we now have bigger bin versions, bins also have rails on them, panels have pin holes, and base plates have a mid thread in the center. Ultimately, compatibility has not been broken as Simple Bins still exist.

New Command Strip Mounts! (With Pre-Made Packs)

Hey Makers,

If you don’t want to drill holes in your wall, you’re in luck! Because the Command Strip Mounts have had a major update.

All the Mounts can now fit standard “3M Picture Hanging Command Strips” and they come in two sizes:

1. Small Mounts: For Tiles that are smaller than a 6x6. They fit Small 3M Command Strips: geni.us/vxs8B

2. Medium Mounts: For Tiles that are a 6x6 or bigger. They fit Medium 3M Command Strips: geni.us/odrk

👉 Get the new Command Strip Mounts for free in the Parts Library: www.multiboard.io/parts-library/mounting-systems

(By purchasing command strips through the referral links, I earn a commission at no extra cost to you)

Keep Making! 🛠️

PS - Oh and if you can’t be bothered to figure out which and how many Mounts to get…

I’ve created some pre-made packs that contain all the parts required to mount a 3x3 Board (9 Tiles).

Introducing: “Multi-Material” Stacks!

Hey Makers, out of popular demand, we’re introducing an alternative method of printing stacks called “Multi-Material printing”.

It’s an advanced printing method you can use if you’re having issues with the regular “ironing” stacks.

In my new video, I show you how Multi-M Stacks work, who should use them, and the special printer settings required…

Click the link to watch the video and learn about Multi-Material Stack Printing 👉 https://youtu.be/zURgeF1Fn0o

PS - We’ve also added Multi-M Stacks for all the Multiboard Tiles, you can find them all here: www.multiboard.io/parts-library/tiles

Tile Generator Update

Hey Makers, just a quick update on the Multiboard Tile Generator:

I took a bit of time away from Multipoint development to fix a pesky bug where generated Tiles would sometimes turn into solid blocks after slicing them.

I also added some extra bells and whistles to the Gen, including…

- A Low Poly toggle to speed up the process.
- A cutaway toggle for the cutaway object.
- A menu drop-down with the default Tiles (core, corner, and side)

Check out the updated Tile Generator here: than.gs/m/975159

PS - Stay tuned for more Tile features coming soon, including Multi-Material Stack Prints.

🏆 The Winner of the Multiboard Showcase Competition…

Big congratulations to Logan Cronwall for winning the competition🎉!

He created a clean setup, designed lots of custom holders, and had the most votes when the contest closed.

Logan, I’ve sent you a DM with the $200 voucher.

I also want to give an honorable mention to our second and third-place winners:

Second place goes to Ivan who really took his workspace organization to the next level. This is what Mutiboard is for!

Third place goes to Ward for his incredible Warhammer Carry Case made out of Multiboard Tiles 🤯. Kudos on the creativity!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the competition.

**Here’s What We’re Working On… (2100 New Parts! 🤯)**

Hey, As some of you may know, we’ve been working hard for many months developing **Multipoint**...

It’s an entirely new system by itself, that will work with Multiboard and open the doors to ridiculously modular storage that has never been done before.

The image attached to this post shows a top-level overview of all the parts coming in the Multipoint launch.

- The list on the left shows the parts that are getting updated.
- The list on the right shows all the new parts.
- The parts in green have been fully developed.

(And yes, it’s intentionally blurry to keep it a surprise 😉)

It’s looking to be about **2100 new parts** — that’s TRIPLE what we have right now! 🤯

**The Big Question Is: When is Multipoint Launching?**

We still need to finish off development, then upload 2000+ parts and build the website.

And even then, we want to make the learning process as easy as possible, so we’ll only launch after creating sufficient documentation, like descriptions, pre-made packs, and video tutorials.

So, it’s still going to be a while. But trust me, it’ll be worth the wait!

**Should You Keep Printing Multiboard Stuff?**

For now, I’d suggest holding off on diving too deeply into Multigrid, as the bins are the main parts that will see updates.

I can’t wait to show you how cool Multipoint is!

Have a fantastic weekend and as always… Keep Making! 🛠️
