Mountain boy, in love with winter and photography. Always trying to think outside the box questioning my self through my pictures.

Hey guys. I guess an update is needed since I have been inactive for a while now.

First of all let me thank all of you who spent the time emailing me if I was alright. I appreciate this.

In short it all comes down to work. I have been involved in a big project and a collaboration with two big universities in Greece documenting traditional dance rituals and events throughout the year. Melina was the curator and the heart behind this whole project so besides my work I was providing whatever support she needed in order for this hybrid dance museum that this project is about to be completed. It was a huge undertaking that limited my time available for YouTube especially near the end where everything had to be checked and delivered.
(10K+ images to sort through) 😮

Anyhow this is now over waiting for the grand opening. There are three minor work projects involved that will be concluded by the end of August so I guess that YouTube service will resume in September.

I was planning earlier but Melina and I desperately need some RnR.

However, unlike YouTube that takes a huge part of my time, writing comes kind of naturally to me so from the beginning of August there will be a bi weekly email explaining the thought process behind some of my favorite or recent images. It is going to be labeled ā€œLetters from Zagoriā€ so those already subscribed to my mailing list keep an eye for that. Those who haven't yet can do so at endotopia.art/sign-up if you want the full endotopia experience.

Looking forward to hearing from you when the videos resume or via email.

Keep being creative

Hey guys. Brainstorming time!!

Some family emergency and Melina having to be hospitalized is keeping me from going out to make videos. But this allows time to brainstorm new videos.

So given the channels character what are your pain points when it comes to photography that you would like to be discussed in future videos. From trivial to complex, feel free to suggest!

Looking forward to your thoughts!

After two long months of going back and forth to various locations for some commissioned work it is time for some RnR. I am supposed to be on vacation but my eye is always on the lookout. A place that I have never been to before, conditions that are less than ideal for my shooting style, yet still images are everywhere.

Oh and I am finally working on a new YouTube video while I am here. Stay tuned. I know it has been a while but it will be worth it. Trust me!

Hey everyone! šŸ‘‹

I know I've been quieter than usual these past couple of weeks, and I wanted to take a moment to explain what's been going on and apologize for the lack of uploads.

I've been working on an incredible commissioned project that has completely consumed my time and creative energy. I'm documenting the folk dance culture of various regions across Greece, which has been both fascinating and demanding work. The project involves extensive research, travel, interviews, and careful documentation of these rich cultural traditions that are so important to preserve.

While I'm passionate about this work and honored to have been chosen for such an important cultural documentation project, it meant that I had to step back from my regular YouTube schedule. I know that's frustrating when you're expecting consistent content, and I really appreciate your patience.

This project will continue throughout August, so I won't be back to my full regular schedule until then. However, I'm going to try my best to squeeze in a video or two between now and then when I can find the time.

Thank you for sticking with me during this period. Your support means everything, and I'll do my best to get you some content while balancing this important project.

See you soon (hopefully with a video or two)!

Question:
Would it be helpful if I included the shooting info (focal length, aperture, etc.) when an image appears in a video?

šŸ“ Feel free to expand your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear how much the technical side adds (or distracts) from the overall experience.

Is AI coming for photography?

Lately I’ve seen a lot of fear around AI replacing photographers. And honestly… I think it could—but only if your work is easy to reproduce.

If you’re doing generic, mainstream images that follow trends and templates, AI might catch up. It can calculate and recreate based on what it’s been fed.

But creative vision can’t be copied. AI doesn’t see, it predicts. It doesn’t feel landscapes or chase a moment that stirred something inside.

The photographers who will thrive are the ones who bring something personal to their work. A way of seeing that isn’t borrowed.

So don’t fear AI. Fear losing touch with your own voice. That’s the only thing machines can’t steal.

What do you think—will AI reshape photography, or just weed out the surface-level stuff?

Photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s about seeing. What’s one moment that completely changed how you see photography? 🌿✨

I’d love to hear your stories in the comments!

P.S. Mine was this as I discussed in the how I built my portfolio video.

I find that the environments we’re drawn to often shape our photographic vision. What’s your favorite?
