I was born in may 1969 in east London and grew up there, most of my life I've lived in the Leytonstone area, and as my parents never drove, they took me my brother and sister out by bus tube and train. That's how i became interested in transport
In the 1990s, i became interested in photography, and more latterly videos
My main channel content has been trains and buses, as well as jokes, and a few other misc subjects, maybe cycling and some swimming videos, but other subjects could follow in due course
I cover mostly the London area and occasionally other areas, but travel outside of London isn't a common occurrence, but a freedom pass for disability is a godsend within London, saving a small fortune in fares
October 2024, i have had 800000+ views and 1,000+ subscribers. Many thanks for your support. feel free to comment. However, all comments are moderated and need approval by myself before posting

Next weekend, 11 may we will see the 40th anniversary of the end of the crosstown linkline railway service and from 13 may 40 years since Richmond north Woolwich services began in place and whilst unbeknown at the time, it began a 40 year journey of the expansion of stratford station
1987 dlr opened
1999 jubilee line opened
2005 services to Tottenham Hale reinstated (withdrawn 1985)
2006 stratford-north Woolwich withdrawn and line closed
2010 overground started serving clapham junction
2011 second dlr branch opened
2022 elizabeth line opened
Elizabeth line began may 24, but it wasn't until 6 november that the line began through running to paddington 24 weeks later, making the line much more convenient to use And I felt the benefits almost immediately
Obviously the elizabeth line has really been a game changer in londons public transport provision and it's presence at stratford has really opened up more of London, with direct links to Heathrow airport being the biggest benefit, but even Whitechapel has really benefited from the elizabeth line, but that has helped the overground as well, which offers services to Highbury and Islington and south to West croydon and clapham junction offering deeper penetration into south London than the old east london line - but these 2 stations together have had the benefit of the elizabeth line and Whitechapel has services from both Eastern terminuses serving it, which makes it highly convenient for interchange
And whilst Liverpool Street is another major interchange, the importance of Farringdon needs little introduction either with thameslink and london underground interchanging with the elizabeth line, but stratford has links available that in 1985 were just pipe dreams and in the case of crossrail, they were just little more than diagrams on pieces of paper and would take another 20+ years to even begin to look like reality when crossrail bill was going through parliament and the elizabeth line was delivered.

4th April 1995
Was the day I last smoked a cigarette 🚬
I quit smoking after 2 workmates who both smoked has heart attacks within a year of each other at ages 58 and 45
I used nicotine patches for 3 days, failed to put one on and lasted the day without trauma and never looked back
● I FOUND THAT BY NOT TELLING ANYBODY I HAD QUIT SMOKING, I FOUND IT A LOT EASIER
it was exactly a fortnight before anybody asked me for a cigarette 🚬 and I simply told them I hadn't got any, and passed on
By the end of the year a workmate died ⚰️ from lung cancer ♋️ aged just 65 and didn't even enjoy retirement...
He smoked 🚬 40 per day
He died just before christmas
Still plenty of smokers out there, but I've witnessed a massive social change in smoking habits and social attitudes
Still plenty of smokers out there, but I've witnessed a massive social change in smoking habits and social attitudes
1962 - smoking and health report published in UK, surgeon generals report in usa
1965 - cigarettes banned from tv advertising, but other tobacco products remained advertised until 1990, and tobacco sponsorship of sports events circumnavigated the ban, such as F1, snooker, and darts etc
1971 - voluntary health warnings put on sides of cigarette packets, etc
Then, there was no further action until the 21st century
2003 total advertising & sponsorship ship ban
Warnings to cover one-third of the packet
2007 public smoking ban
Minimum age to buy raised to 18
2008 picture warnings added
2011 vending machines banned
2015 retail displays banned
2017 plain packaging introduced
Packs of 10 banned
2017 minimum size handrolling tobacco 30g
2020 menthol flavouring banned
And now the BRAVEST piece of legislation to ever be passed about smoking 🚬 🚭 is due to be passed THE GENERATIONAL SMOKING BAN
But it is nothing short of scandalous that si many years went by after the discovery of smoking and the link to lung 🫁 cancer ♋️ and so little was done, but in the past 25 years we've come a long way long long way in anti smoking measures
Much has changed since I quit smoking 🚬

Verse 1]
Some people stay far away from the door
If there's a chance of it opening up
They hear a voice in the hall outside
And hope that it just passes by
Some people live with the fear of a touch
And the anger of having been a fool
They will not listen to anyone
So nobody tells them a lie
[Bridge]
I know you're only protecting yourself
I know you're thinking of somebody else
Someone who hurt you
[Verse 2]
But I'm not above making up for the love
You've been denying you could ever feel
I'm not above doing anything
To restore your faith if I can
Some people see through the eyes of the old
Before they ever get a look at the young
I'm only willing to hear you cry
Because I am an innocent man
[Chorus]
I am an innocent man
Oh, yes I am
[Verse 3]
Some people say they will never believe
Another promise they hear in the dark
Because they only remember too well
They heard somebody tell them before
Some people sleep all alone every night
Instead of taking a lover to bed
Some people find that it's easier to hate
Then to wait anymore
[Bridge]
I know you don't wanna hear what I say
I know you're gonna keep turning away
But I've been there
[Verse 4]
And if I can survive I can keep you alive
I'm not above going through it again
I'm not above being cool for a while
If you're cruel to me, I'll understand
Some people run from a possible fight
Some people figure they can never win
And although this is a fight I can lose
The accused is an innocent man
[Chorus]
I am an innocent man
Oh, yes I am
An innocent man
[Bridge]
You know you only hurt yourself out of spite
I guess you'd rather be a martyr tonight
That's your decision
[Verse 5]
But I'm not below anybody I know
If there's a chance of resurrecting a love
I'm not above going back to the start
To find out where the heartache began
Some people hope for a miracle cure
Some people just accept the world as it is
But I'm not willing to lay down and die
Because I am an innocent man
[Chorus]
I am an innocent man
Oh, yes I am
An innocent man
[Outro]
Oh ho ho ho

Let's do this again
Johnny logan is well connected to the Eurovision song contest with Ireland
He won in 1980 and 1987 as the singer and won as writer in 1992 with linda martin singing why me, and in 1984, had sung terminal 3, which came second
In 1993, Johnny logan also performed the interval act song at the contest, which is called voices are calling, and there is also a single he released in 1985 but failed to chart
